So I was charging my battery for the big rock
I'm still able to drive em around so it's helping me walk more so that's a plus.
Well I only have 1 3s hardcase battery and it was dead, so I threw it on to charge.
Thought I'll just watch a little TV while we wait. You know relax a little while it charges...
Well I woke up a few hours later.... Much too relaxed.
I hear beep beep....
Sleepy brain says hey whys the charger making a sound?.....
Hope up as quick as I can, now wide awake and hobble into the den.... That 20-30 min charge turned into 4 Hours on the tap!!!!!
Wife and her friend just chilling like 4 feet from this battery that's about to pop
Unplugged it and tossed it gently into the front yard to be rained on and put it out of my brain for a few weeks
Note to self
No more naps while charging lipos.....

What charger do you have/use? Make sure to go through them and set a time limit of some sort. On my skyrc if I do either a balance or storage charge and it gets to the met/end voltage target the charge rate slowly goes down and once it hits .2amps if automatically stops. So for storage charge put your end voltage for 3.8v a cell and for a regular charge up, put the end voltage to 4.2v a cell. There is also time limit and capacity limit settings too.

You don't feel @majin is capable of burning things up with nitro fuel? 🤔
I'm afraid of driving a fireball.. keeps me from nitro,

i use a dota d6, ill have to watch a few videos on the settings, i usually just plug it in and hit charge, as i charge em next to my computer area so I'm generally within reach of it

Probably a higher chance of the electric catching on fire then the nitro 🤣

Next excuse please 😂
I'm allergic to beez and the nitro sounds like a swarm chasing me. I'm just scared??
that and the cost.... probly mostly the cost yeah

Cost about the same as electric. You just need a special liquid for it is all. Come to the dark side.

Storing fuel in a safe spot is literally like having wooden furniture in your house. Unless your temperatures get up to 149°F you're good and nitro will never ignite by itself unlike a LiPo

(If temperatures do exceed 149°F you messed up)
Nitro still uses batteries soooo. 🤷
Yes but not LiPos😁 my 5 year old Chinese bubbled up nimh battery is still going lol

@majin, I totally haven't a clue what time limit/capacity limit defaults are on Hota chargers, but get in there and find out change things...

I don't know your charging practices, but for 1C charge rates I'd set Safety Timer to 70 minutes just in case some LiPo cells are needing more time to fully balance.
