I went to my lhs to run some cars today. I brought the tt02

The mini- b.....it's completely stock and brushed powered

And the Associated Sr27....some upgrades

I wasn't sure how much time I would get on the tracks before things got busy....a lot is the answer. I put 1 battery through the tt02, and 2 through the mini-b...and brought no charger.
With 2 sets of rechargeable aaa I ran through 4 full charges on sr27. The first 2 on the stock t-plate, the last 2 on an upgrade from the mini z options...which is identical. The track was set up for 1/10, 1/12 scale action. I have almost no experience on a real carpet course, and the video is before the t-plate install so the back end is a little squirrelly.
I got everything I was hoping to out my trip today. Looks like I will be making more trips down to focus on my driving and car set up before I spend the $$ on a transponder for the tt02. It's a ton of fun, but is set up much better for blacktop atm.

When I ran the mini b around the indoor carpet track....it did ok. The stick tires didn't feel bad, but I bet ther is something a little better. The suspension needs a bit of adjustment. The biggest issue...it literally felt like another 1/2 mile an hour in top speed and I vould get a decent rhythm going. It falls just short on the largest jumps, bounces and winds up on the roof.

Sounds like a fun day! The video looks like the car was driving well! 👍😁
Looking around to see what upgrades will get me the little extra speed in mini b ... there seems to be a very small number of available 280 motors unless you do a brushless conversion. Trying to beat the system, I ordered a silver can motor of the right size where the broken chinese/english sounded promising.

Put in slot A in tab to be B on underwrapping makes contacts part. 👍
Google can translate ANYTHING!!! 🤣

I never had a mini Z. I don't know what cheats can be done. Its always fun finding out tho! 😁

Comes with "high speedic"....so maybe you guys just move over and get out of the way.

I looked at the mini z before I bought this. The Associated car has some stuff going for it the mini z does not... like all hex hardware

I do plan to get speed readings before and after. Right now the popular brushed upgrade is the 280 from the jrx2 which I hear offers a slight speed increase. If this looks like a better option I will see if I can buy a case of em. I bet there is a fair number if people that wouldn't mind a quick motor swap option instead ripping out all the electronics....again
