So, I have been wanting to get into racing since I went to my local track and had a blast being a corner marshal. I've been doing some research on what kit is in my price range and I've decided I want to get a Hotbodies Ve8. But, due to BL systems costing an arm and a leg I knew I couldn't afford a Tekin RX8 or a MMM 2200 so I'm thinking of going cheap and getting one of these http://www.hobbypartz.com/07e-c-combo-m1.html HobbyWing seems to have a good rep but I'd like some opinions from the electric gurus here.

Oh and any suggestions on batteries?

Thanks!

Id get a Hobbywing Xerun ESC since they are sensored. Then Id get a Tenshock X812 2150KV sensored motor from ckhobbies. If your not allowed to use 6pole motors then Id suggest getting a used Tekin motor from ebay or something. you're gonna want a something sensored though whatever way you go if your racing.
