No if you are gettings any li batteys you will need the right charger... The one you linked to says this:
" This an IntelliPeak DC Only Mini Pulse Charger for Charging/Discharging
Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) and Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) Battery Packs."
SO it only does Nicd and NiMH
SO I looked for the only charger I know that does those batters you are looking at
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXEVC7&P=ML

Charges NiCd & NiMH batteries, Li (ion & poly) and Lead Acid
If you charge those batteys with the wronger charger they can blow up.

i know that but i was just wondering where they are getting them and i know that charger doesn't do li batts but i was just wondering if it was any good for nicd and nimh batts

I'm not looking to get any li batts i was just going to look at them and plan for the future

so is that charger any good for nimh and nicd batts ???

and where can i look for li batts

I know nothing about Li batteys. So I dont know where to get them, but If you think you are going to want them in the future then buy a chager that can charge them now. That way you wont have to buy 2 chargers I know the super brain is good but I am not sure how it ranks up againt other chargers for its kind.

I've recently done lots of research on li-po battery chargers. There are several but only two that are cost effective, the Super Brain 969 Pro Series and the Dynamite Vision Peak Ultra. They are the only two that I know of that will accept AC and DC in to supply the power. Almost all of the other chagers will require a DC power supply that is not included.
Just remember to never charge a li-po battery at more than 1% of it's rating, ie. 1500mAh = 1.5 amp maximum charge setting or less.

I'm going to retract my statement about the Super Brain 969 series. Looking at the IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS that come with the Thunder Power lipo batteries say this exact statement; "Charge a battery with good quality Lithium Polymer charger. A poor quality charger can be dangerous (Such as the MRC Super Brain 969 which is NOT a proper Lithium Polymer charger)." FYI

I used my Dynamite charger to charge two of the 3 cell lipos last night and it worked great! It gives the current charge, peak charge, lets you set the amps in 1/10th increments and makes a very loud beeping sound when the battery reaches its peak charge. The batteries remained at a very low temp during the process. It took approx 50 minutes to charge a 1320 mAh at 1.3 amps.

Hmmm, interesting that it says that about the 969...I wonder what makes that charger to be not of a high enough quality.
Anyone know?

I had a thread a little bit ago about a good cost effective lithium charger. Stretch is right, most of the lithium chargers are DC only. Since then I've held out the lithiums (been broke!) but since Critmas is around the way I know I'm getting a few gift cards for the LHS (by request of course!) so I think I'm going to put that towards the Triton *Found Here*

I've got a modded PC power supply, thanks from a little help from ScottM for supplying the link. I luckily was given a brand new power supply that puts 12.1v and can do it @ 10A!

If you're looking for something that will do it all, then check out the Triton fo sho!

yeah when i get a job ill prolly end up having the money but for right now i can't really afford anything that expensive and i was just wondering so i knew where to look for them

so yeah anywho thanks for the info if anything else is found out let me know

The Triton is the best, at least thats what they say. I did not purchase it because I wanted an integrated power supply (lazyness).

The 969 Super Brain charger does not have the software to safely and accurrately charge Li-Pos, it is all done by assuming that the lipo is fully discharged and charges it back up with a 90% of labeled capacity measured charge. -fyi
