A 1.1 combustible engine that is natural aspirated ,the carb has adjustable needle settings for
air to fuel mixture ,if the carb base gasket leaks ,it will drawl in too much air for the fuel mixture ,
in return ,it will cause the engine to run rough an unstable ,a sloppy carb will cause that too ,if the
bushings for the butterfly shafts that come out of the carbs are worn can cause unstable engine
to run ,that is why the fuel injected engines are more reliable ,but the ECU controls the air mixture
ratios ,one would have to keep those electronics in check though!
Think I would rather work one old carb set up the. The new computer set up on 1.1 car/trucks much easier I believe. To much involved with the new 1.1 engines. IMO

Me too ,because you can fix the old stuff to limp you back home ,new stuff ,if a electronic part goes
out ,your dead in the water!.. :thumbs-up: ...:hehe:

I would rather die in water than hot asphalt. I don’t want to turn in to bacon 🥓

My friend owns a tractor repair business ,he has a customers ,I believe its a D 9 or something like that
called bulldozer ,that the ECU went out in it ,it has been sitting in his yard for years ,so it is a $ 100.000
dollar yard ornament!... :hehe:

I have a respect for builders with custom rides ,however ,my views on that are totally different
from those people!

My friend had a cherry customized 56 Ford p-up that had everything done to it an he also
had a 78 Elk that only had fresh normal paint job & lowered with rims ,he took them both
to one of those car shows ,the 56 did not win crap ,the ELK took first prize!... :hehe:

Much respect sir

Would em say I’m a mechanic? I just build stupid stuff as I work on stupid stuff. People trip on what I do. Me it’s every day life.
you're way more of a mechanic than I am. :)

I like this conversation
Because if I can learn something yes I love it.
For real some of you guys are so smart that’s why I like this forum. Yea kid at heart but man some you are very intelligent. I love to teach but more than anything I love to learn.
I think the smart people are the ones that are always trying to learn. If you get to the point where you learn enough then you're smart. If you get smart and start thinking you can't learn anything else then you just became an educated idiot lol

Wow, that is a thing of beauty. I dont care what brand they are I just love awesome rides. :)
This was prolly my favorite pick up I've ever owned. Seems like 3 lifetimes ago now.

Hi,
I bought a 1/10 nitro car cleaned fuel lines carb , fitted new plug, set carb as manual said wind needle valve and low run fully clockwise in then 2 turns back. Will fire on pull star but immediately dies and ideas, thanks in advance 👍
how did you make out bud? did you watch or read the info I sent. Did it help?

Hi, Not sure the rc is a Nitrotek

BIG RIG NITRO REMOTE CONTROL MONSTER TRUCK

Id follow the steps that Stoner sent you and if all else fails and you can't get it to run then you have to consider the possibility that the previous owner wore out or damaged the engine somehow.
