Okay, I wasn't involved in it physically, but I was following the car that was. I just have to share this.

My dad and I were on the way home from picking up his car from the Dealership and it was very snowy out. We got like 5 inches or so tonight so everybody was goin extremely slow. So we were following this car that was going 30-35 mph on a road that has a speed limit of 40. We were following her for a while and se seem like a pretty good winter driver, well we thought wrong.

She began to slide and she went off the road to the right into a small ditch. She kept going, seeming as though she was giving it gas and ran into a rockwall, which was about 3 feet tall. By the way, she was driving a small compact car. Her car flew over the rocks, flinging the truck open. When she was over the rocks she swerved left across the road. On the left side of the road there was maybe 75 feet of just flat grass with snow on it. She must have been flooring it because the car was gaining speed as she flew across the feild. She ran into a huge boulder and some trees very hard and the car was totaled! I mean the truck was ripped to shreds, and after the stone wall I can't imagine what the undercarrige looked like.

So my dad pulled over to she was okay. She must have taken quite a beating lol. We asked her if she hit her head and she replied, "No, I just hit my head on the roof a little". At this point I was baffeld. This woman just flew into a ditch, over a rock wall, and into the woods and on a boulder what looked like on purpose. It seemed the car didn't loose any speed the whole time, maybe even gained some.

She called the cops and when they arrived we left, and we were wondering why she did that? She could have just left off all pedels and she would have ended up in the ditch just needing a tow, but she managed to total her car. It completely amazed me, we asked her why she accelerated going towards the woods and she replied," I didn't, it must have been from all the momentum from driving on the road". At this point I almost burst out lauphing because her car was tossed around like a rag doll all because she didn't let of the gas. I'm suspecting she was meaning to hit the brakes but instead nail the gas.

Man, it was quite amazing how she managed to do this to her car going 30 mph...

Was she blonde?

This didn't happen to happen in W. Virginia did it? heh

Thems fightin' words, buckeye boy! Remember your children will be half hillbilly.

 Mr T, no shoe wearin, sister chasin, welfare ridin' West Virginian.

People panic in these situations. THey usually do the opposite alot of the time. Like it the gas when they want to hit the break. Its like the old people that plow into a group of people in NYC. They thought they had there foot on the break. It ceases to amaze me how fast people need to drive in the snow or heavy rain. I dont care if they are driving a Hummer.... when all 4 wheels hit ice your going to skid.... well atleast she is alive and did not kill anyone else.... was she hot??

LMAO! C'mon now Mr. T, we both know how insurance scams run down there. people would claim a broken toenail if they could (not that you would  ) As for my children... won't he/she/they have built up some kind of hilljack immunity or something.. you'd think that poop would wear off after a couple genersations eh? lol j/p :stick:

I know that people panic in these situations, but she had a 100 ft. feild to realize that her foot was on the gas. She was hot at all, she was like 60 years old lol. Yeah, another thought I had was the cruise control, but who would use that in the snow, and all you have to do is tap the brake just once and it would have shut off...

exactly. Anybody who doesn't have enough common sense not to use cruise in the snow almost deserves to meet mr. ditch. some people are just.plain.stupid.

That happened to me...a woman ran a stop sign and hit me in the driver side door..i bounced off her...the first time. She freaked out and hit the gas and hit me again...the second time. Ud be surprised what goes through ones head in a moment like that. When we came to a stop..the nose of her car was against my door and her foot was on the accelerator. It took her about 10 seconds to come to and stop what she was doing.

Wow, I've never been in an accident but I wouldn't think it would be that bad. The lady I saw had about 100 ft. oof feild to realize she was flooring it, but she never did till she crashed.
