Can you guys tell me if it's worth it.

I wrote an email to Kyosho and asked what's the top speed. They responded and said it was 35 mph, is that right for a car of this price and engine?

That actually seems a bit slow to me for a .28 powerd car. A NTC3 with a decent OS .12 engine can easily do more than that. HPI claims the RS4 3 18SS can hit 50mph, I have heard there is truth to this but we'll see in the spring, can't wait to break mine in :)

but, where do you guys think this can run?
it says it has a buggy chassis and a monster truck level engine.
So where does this run ?

What kind of surface can i face with it ??? would it be able to withstand any jumps?

I think it will be able to withstand small jumps. I don't think it will be able to run much on grass unless its really really short. Basically it has to be on a track or on pavement.

damn..I've almost ran a gallon through my rs4 3 18ss and I've only had it since christmas... can i just replace ***piston and sleeve*** , i was looking at the cylinder and the sleeve just slides right out...

WOW thats random. You need a piston and sleeve. Do some research on piston and sleeves, then start a new thread in the engines forum. Don't hijack this guys thread.

...that is random. What were the chances of him saying that in a thread asking about a good car? Kyosho is a good brand and it looks like a good car but like AW18 said, i've heard parts are a little hard to find, but there ain't nothin' you can't get on ebay! :)

lol, dude he asked how long the avg lifespan of a nitro motor is, and um changeing the sleeve due to wear is relevant. i can't find any sites that tell me what to do on that. and I'm not trying to " hi-jack" anyones thread. ~putting in engine section~

He asked what the typical life span was, and wether you know it or not, less then a gallon is NOT NORMAL!

Excuse me for being rude, but how the hell is that relevant to a thread that is asking if a car is a good one?!?! I must be missing something!

hmm, what's the life span on an engine ?
sorry about all the questions I'm asking. I must be annoying now

as in average use, or manufacture specs. Like how many hours before replacing.
Or it doesn't work like htat?

>>thats how it is relevant spitfire- this is after all his thread? stop picking on the noob.<< :jk: try reading the Whole thread next time.

thanks for being patient guys, I'll be leaving the country in a few days, any suggestions on what spare parts to stock ?

Jesus you two! Take it to the FFA or via PM!

Suggested spares: spur gears, bearings, shock and diff oil, suspension parts (arms, axle carriers, etc.) would be a good start. May want to grab an extra clutch or two and maybe a clutch bell, just to cover your bases.

hmmm, I was reading over the specs sheet on the kyosho inferno GT and found that it has street tires ( High-traction low-profile 93 x 41mm street tires with foam inserts. )
will these be good to run off road or will it be wiser to buy different tires ?

That depends, what kind of offroad will you be running? If its hard packed blue grooved racetrack you might be able to get away with your stock tires, if not you may want to get some offroad tires.
