what is bet the best gear set-up for my mamba powered e-maxx. it has an18 pinion gear and 62 spur. the batteries and esc seem to run real cool so I didnt know if it had more in it with a gear change

if you are running lipo your batery should never get heat in it. i like to run my brushless motors at about 150-160 degrees F.

As long as the motor isn't overly hot, and the ESC and battery are cool you should be in good shape.

The truck has WAY to much torque so I am wanting to try bigger pinion to level it out a bit. I was thinking trying two teeth at a time Is that to much change. I know 2 up on the pinion is more than 2 down on the spur. whats everyone else running

. I would stop running if i hit 160. For me 140ish is my max and i don't like to see them past 110-120. I like my stuff cool tho.

but what is a good gear ratio to run. I'm running 4s lipo and it just seems like it is too low geared. I'm just curious what ratio everyone else is using
