Bought a Mini-T yesterday

So I bought a mini-t for in the house bashing and I must say that little thing is a blast. I took it outside today since the weather was nice. I do have a goofy problem with it. For some reason I have to flick it on and off a few times to get the steering servo to work. Sometimes it stops working while I am driving it. I switched transmitters and I still get the same problem. I emailed Losi but have never dealt with their support before. Should I take the car back to the hobby shop or wait on Losi?

i will take losi atleast a week to get back to you through email. call them 8888995674 when you email it goes through horizon hobbys that will get you stright to losi in cali but youll have to wait till monday to call. might be better off to take it back. it would be alot faster. but the guys at losi are really helpful. the guys at horizon not so much but they did give me the number to losi.

Throw a fireball motor into it, and it will almost double its speed and torque. As soon as you get your glitches worked out.

I will try and give them a call on Monday. If I get a chance to get up to the hobby store today I will ask them about it. I know I took the last one so I would just get a refund or something. I did find when running it I would scrape the chassis when I hit dips so I put in some spacers which I think helped. I am just blown away by how much fun this thing is. I have a 3.3 s-maxx and a stampede but right now I am really digging this little guy.

It sounds like a bad switch yes even though its new get a new switch if you dont want to wait there not that much.

I've had problems like that before. if the switch was bad id just cut it off and twist the black and red wires together and to turn it on and off just plug in the battery and off is obviously unplug it. although switches aint too much it keeps a few bucks that youd have to spend on a new switch in your pocket

i know exactly what you mean about these lil trucks being a blast i got one yeasterday at my LHS then turned around 30 minutes later and went back and got the other one they had in stock so far both work perfect i got the green and blue ones now just need to wait for them to get a red one in stock. check out www.atomicmods.com they have ALOT of upgrade parts for these lil guys

I have noticed glitches in my micro-t aswell it seems like I dont have that much range. I made a track in the basement for these lil things and the micro-t gets the glitches when i have it on the oposite side of the track as me.... every so often it will even do it when it is close to me... everything just goes dead for a few secounds and then it will come back to life... I thought it was the transmitter batteries but i put freshly charged batt.s in it and still the same thing...... Any ideas would be awsome... thanks

Well I took it in to the shop today and the thing worked like a charm.. It's been working fine all day with no issues. Figures it wouldn't do anything when I went in there. I really need to get some better suspension on there though. Anyone had luck with the venom motors?

if your running lipos in them with the stock motor it will do that the lipos fully charged run at 7.4 volts the stock esc is only rated to 7.2 goto http://www.toadzrc.com/ get to atomic bb motor and it will cure it. thats what i did to my micro t and all the time i spent talking to the guy from losi he didnt come up with anything for it so thats what i did along with lossing the screws in the transfer case

The mini-sized vehicles are loads of fun. I never owned a Mini-T but I do have a couple of RC-!8's that were a blast even before mods.

I also have 2 1/24 Losi SCT and I like those alot!!!!! Havent had any glitches with either on of them 2... what sux is that the mini-t is alittle quicker then the sct....... I would like to make sure that it isnt anything real seriouse before I buy one for everyone in the house.

The main reason I got the RC-18's is that they are 4wd like your SCT's not just rwd like the Mini-T.

Well.. The motor upgrade took a new priority due to the fact that I burned it up. I might have gotten a little water in it yesterday in a slight puddle accident I am so sick of all this rain!! Hopefully Hobbytown USA near my work has one.

that does make a difference even with them being so small them scts have taken a good lil beaten so far and they seem to love it..

Just an update.. I bought an insane brushed motor and some front street tires. The stock fronts don't really grip any more. I also put the 15T pinion on there which gives a little more top speed. I noticed that this motor does not get as hot as the other one. The shocks on this thing are awful though.. Anyone have any suggestions?

plus lots of upgrade parts and bodies and wheels and bags
2 18r's 2 18t's 2 18 mt's
mambas and stock and lots of aluminum
as soon as i get them together i will post it up
these will be going as 2 packages all mini-t's in 1 and all rc18's in other
unless feel like breaking them up and shipping to a whole bunch of people
i would rather not but i do not think i have a choice
