Gotta big rock 6s question. I’ve been waiting on a new hub and lug nut kit. For $10 I’ll buy the kit to have extras.

It came and as I’m setting here about to install a new tire, it occurred this seems to be an issue. How have you guys addressed this?

My first run last like 1.5 minutes. Is the lug nuts prone to come loose on these things. Sure seems so to me and my research. And, how are you guys dealing with it.

Check for the above two suggestions. Detest rated edges against wheel. Loctite 243 applies. It’s waiting until better weather anyways. I just received my lanyard for charging. Going through my batteries anyways.

I’ll run it tomorrow midday.

It chassis slaps like an Xmaxx. I sure hope to get to run it some tomorrow.

If your wheel nuts are working loose, check the hex hub socket inside the wheel. Wheel nuts coming loose is often a sign your wheel hub is wearing the hex socket in the wheel, and the hex is rotating a bit in the socket. Working the lug nut back and forth.

Get a grocery store bag. Cut a small square and put it on tge axle snd thread the nut over it.
That is the first time I've heard of this. I'm assuming you mean a plastic bag from a grocery store. Is it supposed to act like a nylon insert Nylock locknut?

Yeah, I often wonder which serrated wheel nuts the top dogs use and how much torque is applied to the wheel nuts to hold for a 40-minute nitro main. You all know they are sometimes changing wheels/tires often during qualifying and don't have time for thread locker to cure.

In any case, I'm a threadlocker dude for securing my wheel nuts.

Correct. I did it a few times 15 or so years ago. It basically insulated tge two threads from vibrating.
