Big rock 6s tires?

How aggressive are you wanting to get with your monster truck's tires? Large knobby/lugs are your thing? A person can have tires with small soft pins and still be disappointed as goes for just the opposite... large hard knobby things tearin' up Mother Earth like no other! What are you hoping to do with softer tires? My concern would be dumping lots of power into a softer tire compound may lead to tons of ballooning if not belted. Yes/no?

Along the lines of what tamp addict suggested. I want a tire that grips a little better. The tires that come on the bigrock are hard. And while it’s fun to drift around in a big area just giving it heck, it’d be nice to have a little better control.

Not looking to plant the the truck. Just plan on upping the punch and driving it more. As hard as the stock tires are, it’d be impossible to run more punch. Hoping a softer tire with better grip for all surfaces will hopefully get the truck under control but allow it to be drove right on the edge.

Ordered four of the backflip tires. Should be here by Sunday. I’ll try to get a run on them and report back how they compare.

Got another question. Are you guys running your esc with stock tuning or did you change a few things to fine tune it to run the best for you?

I received the back flips today and got home in time to install them, charge some batteries and run it.

I programmed the punch to 9 last night.

I have to say this was a great investment. These things will haul the mall. But, these tires tame the wild spin outs and such with the punch set at 9. Versus the craziness with the stock tires and the punch set on 5.

These trucks handle so well. And I like how it just launches and while wheelies are an option, it’s easy to keep it under control now.
