RC18 series. At least 20 mph straight out of the box! Plus you can throw it around like a baseball and it won't break. There are a LOT of upgrades out there for it too.

I'm a huge fan of the RC18 series. You can get practically any format you want; onroad, buggy, stadium, mt... Plus, just like cupooterluvr said; they're tough as nails. Plus, if 20mph isn't fast enough for you, there's always brushless and lipo.

ok. I've looked. whats the difference between the, say, rc 18t, b, and r? truck, buggie, and race? and what would be recommended. i dont have a good carpet to run the race, i know that. so what would be recommended?

I've broken two parts on the rc18t in the past year. parts of the steering linkage. very tough. another great thing about these trucks is that you can easily and cheaply convert them into eachother. i went with the 18t, as its more in between the mt and the b. i quickly threw some mt tires on it though

the difference beetween the trucks is basically just the tires and the body. the 18b has a different front shock tower

ok. i think i'll go with the 18t stadium. thanks guys! ill try and buy it at the end of the school year. again guys, THANKS!!!

The only key differences are...

18T,MT: Share 99% of parts. Key difference is the body, motor, wheels, and gearing.

18B: Shares most of its' parts with above, except gearing, shock towers, wheels, and body.

18R: Shares chassis, drivetrain, and some other parts; mostly its' own little critter....

If you have any questions, the manual for any of the RC18's has a one-size-fits-all exploded diagram that shows the different part numbers.
