For making sharp, quick turns around barriers on flat, pavement, what is the best type of RC vehicle-2WD or 4WD? truck or car? Thanks and have a great day.

4wd will always give you the best handling. 4 drive wheels allows you to start quicker with less wheel spin and while turning, the front wheels help pull the car in the direction they are pointing.

4 wd car by far.. with some nice foams or rubber street tires

How about type of vehicle-short course truck versus stadium truck??

that is personal preference. I have both. The SCT seems to drive more clunky, but it takes a lot of abuse. The ST is faster, handles better, and jumps better. I prefer to race with the Stadium truck and bash around with the SCT.
