Hey I'm buying a puller pro motor this afternoon.
It's going into a redcat gen 7 sport which takes a 540 motor very snug.
I was going to get one of the shorties but there's multiple kv options and I'm still not as on point as I should be
I've read quite a few posts about kv ratings in relation to torque and such.

I am going with this motor
Do I need a better esc or do you think the factory can work with it?

I literally just finished installing a puller pro standard 3500kv in my sendero hd. It’s insane, it can slow crawl and flip itself over on command. Go with a 2200 or 2700 kv

, this is for people to play on when i go for trail walks,
i am checking each of the options suggested and probably am gonna wait till next week to pull the trigger.
i am using the Hobbywing QuicRun Fusion FOC 2300Kv 2-in-1 ESC & Motor in both of the other crawlers. I'm not trying to drop that much on this vehicle tho so trying to find something comparable, if i go with that amazingly priced brushed system, how long will it be before I'm replacing that with a brushless? thats my main concern about that.
I've watched a few videos on the 13T. it seems to be a fantastic choice. but i keep falling back onto the brushed vs brushless.
if it were for actual rock crawling id go with it. but this trucks mainly going to be going through trails and needs to maintain a good walking speed to keep up with an active 7 year old lol.
we have a kid whos sort of adopting into the family and i want to get him a good rc to run but i need something to get us by for now until I'm a little more financially able to buy him one of his own.
hes a good kid but has a rough home life and were trying to help him learn to not hate the world. i want to take him with us to an rc event so i can ideally let him pick one out like i did with Vegeta. i digress
i think we may be going with the 13 t brushed as much as it worries me. its just gotta last him a few months till i can surprise him with his own anyways.

You won’t ever see these motors for $50 again once they are gone.

thats what I'm thinking as well I'm just hoping they still have a few ( shich it seems nione are sold out yet so good forecast) next week I'm buying one for it but I'm also going to get the brushed system. I've decided ill let himlearn better control on the brushed system and then when hes ready ill throw in the puller
this is the current new plan from mr wishy washy
