batteries for igniter ?

i lost the charger to my glow igniter, i was just wondering if i could use a regular duracell C battery or something, or if i should really start looking for the charger or soemthing .

look for the charger, mine takes a sub-c which i think is the most common for recharge-style igniters

i've only got 1 sub-c, so i'm thinking of a way to rig up an external normal C or some AA's even to my igniter.

Most LHS sell chargers separately. You can also pick up extra sub c cells separately.

YOU NEVER HAVE TO CHARGE THIS BATTERY. It will last all summer! I have contemplated buying this setup for some time now just to use as a back up.

novice rob, are those the only 2 things i need in order to start my car ? i dont see how the ofna connects to the big battery tho. maybe I'm more retarded then they tell me ?

that looks great tho , id almost never have to charge it , and i would never loose it thats for sure

i think the battery has screw-down battery terminals where u stick the wires into it. or if the battery didn't come with it, u can just use allegator clamps

i figured i could rig something like that up , its just that the ofna starter thing has like , plug in wires it looks like ...

the ofna part is set up for starter boxes, but snip snip, strip strip and you are set

I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner, but yeah. Snip and strip the ends of the ofna clip and attach it to the hobbyco battery.

Just so you know, you cannot charge this battery. The point is you don't have to. It has tons of juice in it. Next summer, you just buy a new one. You will never have to replace the glow clip though as long as you don't booger up the end.
