My girlfriend has a Spektrum smart charger.

I bought a 1600 mah battery for my nitro.
It's NiMh.

We have adapter for battery charger.

When plugged in, I press charge, it throws error.

All connections are tight.

Why won't this work?

Picture attached.

Site won't let me post pictures anymore.

Not sure why

It’s dumb that you can’t change the charge voltage. Maybe try 2 amps? Could it already be charged? That’s a dumb charger, meaning it will probably only work with smart batteries.

I thought the same thing too. Manual says EC3 and EC5 compatible. 🤷‍♂️

Could also be bc it's a odd 5 cell nimh and the charger you can't pick the voltage of it/how many cells I'm guessing.
Bc it's a smart charger it only likes to work best with smart packs, non smart packs it acts dumb.
Normal horizon lol.

also a possibility that even 1a is to much for the plug and the charger doesn't like the resistance. i have a couple 1600mah 6 cell NiMh packs for my 1/18 Dromida's and thanks to the plug i can't charge them at over .8 amps. if i try it at 1a it'll make you think it'll charge, but within 10 seconds ends the charge as if the battery is full. (I'm using a Hyperion OES 0606i charger)
