@Mike2507 had asked a few good questions about running a 2.2" on the Capra. Check out this video and see what the 2.2" wheel does for the Capra.
This is a short clip from our 2.2" Capra build, showing how the larger wheel diameter and extended wheel base enhance the technical rock crawling performance. If you watch close at the 10 second mark, the driver's rear tire contacts a chunk of rock and pauses for a brief moment, then rolls up and over. At stock 1.9" Capra would need a bit more effort to clear that rock in that the centerline of the axle is much lower than the top of the rock, forcing it into a vertical climb. Rock formations of this type can be quite challenging when they grab hold of the rear tire, especially since sandstone can be tricky to find traction on. By running a 2.2" wheel and larger OD tire ( JConcepts Scorpio ) and a longer wheelbase, this difficult trail becomes much easier.
