Finished up the AX24 scratch build and modded out the stock one.
Original build log
They both run great, only thing to do is fix stuff when it breaks.
OOPS! Just realized 'ole #2 lost his intake stuff during testing. I'll have to come up with some kind of replacement. I may add some exhausts also.

Absolutely love the paint on #2!
Thanks! All rattle can. #2 is Tamiya black gloss and Testors Aztek Gold two tone base with about six coats of Testors Blue Galaxy color shift shot over that. Applied decals then about ten coats of Tamiya clear gloss, followed by sanding 1200 grit thru 3000 grit then polish. The red one uses the same process except I used Testors Pink Champagne color shift over straight black base. Both are styrene hard bodies, so no lexan paint needed.
Since Rustoleum bought out Testors, supply of their cool color shifts and Ultimate Lacquers are almost unobtainable. The scalpers are having a field day with prices running $25-$50 a 3 oz. can o_O. No other manufacturers make anything that works as good that I've found so far.

Decided to use some cheap bodies for crawling and keep the two nice ones for display.
I was able to use the same mounting so both sets of bodies are interchangeable without any mods.
Now I can run them without scratching up the custom bodies.
I'm thinking of installing Gladiator rear links and driveshaft on the front of 'ole #2, it'll give me about another 20mm of wheelbase. It's currently at 156mm, if I add the links it'll be about 176mm with a track width of 147mm. Almost 1/18 scale!
