Sweet ride! My wheels and tires will arrive for mine today. I have to say, I am pretty impressed with the stock tires though. We picked the same color. 🤣

Yes, must agree...the stock tires are great. I will certainly use them on another one of my rigs! The hype is real...this thing is a literal beast! I've spent twice as much making a scratch-built rig this capable and this comes out of the box like it's nothing for $249 😲 Yea, mostly plastic parts but we'll see how it goes and replace accordingly. Meow! 😻

Congrats!!! Its nice to see what they look like before you guys rebuild these things entirely!!!! 😎👍😁
If anyone thought about dabbling into 1/18 scale this rig will put you leaps and bounds above what's out there...and 3S straight from the get-go! 👍

I thought about, almost talked myself into 1/18 scale but the tiny hardware and my giant hands thought me right back out of them. 😐

But you won't even have to upgrade anything it's that good. (subliminal message begin) If you get one everyone will love you and you will become successfull and wealthy. (subliminal message end).

I wonder how it compares to the Furitek offerings? I know the Furitek Terra Comp starts at 40 bucks more, and does not come with a battery, but just curious?
Dang it though, that Apex is making my socks go up and down! :D

Installed some flush mounted LED's..usually the LED bulb will be protruding thru the body but I wanted flush mounted for a cleaner look and I can control the intensity the lights emit based on the drill bit size I use for making the holes. It was quite the little project as the body sits so low on this rig that finding room to route the wires and clips is very limited.

Hey Creepy, thank you!
Purchased the LED's online and then crafted my own wiring harness and light buckets.

Dang you! that looks great!

Honestly Doom!, the wiring and light buckets are somewhat easy..concealing and routing the wires is the time consuming difficult part. 😄
3mm i.d. rubber tubing for front light buckets glued to lexan inside...rear light buckets are rigid foam glued to lexan inside with 3mm hole in foam. Then you just use a drill bit size of your choice to make a hole in the body for the light to come thru. Make sure you LED's are rated for up to 12v, Redcat associates say the BEC is set at 8.4 from the factory. Yes, that can probably be changed but I like that voltage going to my servo.

Well, Redcat didn't mess around when they said they offer upgraded links for the Apex...just the size difference alone vs. stock plastic is a huge upgrade. Got rid of the plastic driveshafts also. 😄
