Yeh, yeh, people who post pictures of stock rigs in the house are so lame ;) (j/k) ;)

Bite me.

Anyway! Looks all new and shiny - won't look like that for long ;). If you want something to do while you are bored and waiting for a motor and ESC, get a pair of lexan scissors out and cut the wheel arch flares off the ARTR shell, and if you are canny you can cut the front just behind the 'headlights' and keep the full front, so you keep the look but don't get the bind, man. That way you'll have a shell ready to roll with incase you want to paint that other one, I mean who uses all black shells... ;)

I run this body to compete with, and it performs well but you will need to trim the front fender flares. Only be a man about, you don't need no stinkin' headlights! Haha, trim that sucker till theres just a roof and windshield, dont be scurred!!

On a serious note, you might want to trim it so you can keep the headlights. I like the smooth look of cutting with the body line and getting rid of them, but you canwork around them if you want. I'm thinking about making a really narrow grill and using the headlight decals on my next body after it's all trimmed out.

You guys must have less strict comp rules then the UK, I think cutting the whole front grille/light panel out of the shell is frowned upon here. It's not really necessary anyway, my wheels have never snagged on mine, even running droop. A lot of people running long Wheely Kings and Super rigs have to do it because the wheels run forward of the arches, but a XC-1 shell is designed to run on a 2.2 Wheelbase crawler so it's easier to trim up without taking half the shell off :)

Ohhh, trust me, charlies wheels were deffinatly snagging that day. It grabbed the rear end of the body and pulled it between the rear tire and itself.

Yeap, I was thinking that since Axial designed the body for competition, I wouldn't have to trim it for clearance, because my proline comp body didn't need trimming at all. I had one of the first XC-1 bodies from the first batches that were released to the public, so I hadn't talked to anyone else with one to see about trimming it. I got it the night before the comp, the I cut the body holes about 10 minutes before leaving for the comp and didn't test it.

Once I started crawling, the fenders were catching my tires bad and putting my rig in a bind. So I took a repair and cut them suckers off! lol.

Webbage, we do have strict body guidelines, but the XC1 body is so big, you can cut about half the material from the body and still meet the size regulations. When I was speaking of cutting the grill, I was talking about the grill decal itself. I think you can just about cut the whole grill off and still be in the guidelines, like a bug body, but I like to have the grill. So I was talking about cutting the section out of the middle of the grill, and then bring the two outer halves together so I could have headlights, just like on a fullsize crawler thats been narrowed in the front end.

Ok here is some outdoor pics lol.. Yes its still just a roller.

Ok so to run this truck all you need is a controler, esc, and motor? Hmmm interisting. Nice truck man!

no, thats all I need lol. To complete the artr you need tx/rx, steering servo, motor/esc, and battery.

I like the black and orange though man. Maby I can base my scaler around this.... Well see.
