Another project on the bench while waiting for parts for other projects

So many project so little fundsšŸ˜†

This project pushed on the side for a while
Wanting to get back to nitro
At one point i wanted to trade this for a running rc10 gt
But no one seems to be interested
So continue with the project

Need a little help tho
What pinion gear would you use with this set up?
I want to go ballisitc with this buildšŸ˜

What are you doing with the car? By the tires looks like a clay track setup? If your racing on clay, or any other track tbh, it depends on the size and layout.

For me for my B74.1D. On a medium sized indoor carpet track, I am running a 21T, 78 Spur, 13.5T motor.

I would say start with a 20T and go up or down if and when needed.

Max10. I use that same combo in my rustler, just with the 4000kv motor. Should be a decent combo for the track.

I dont race i just like rc to play on the street
Tires were just given by a friend
5400KV???!!!!

I would go through some setups here and my starting point would be 18T or possibly a 17T pinion:

Mainthing i don over heat is good enough

Them tires will turn into slicks in no time. For bashing, I mean 5400kv could work but I would watch temps, and gearing too.

I use the 4000kv HW motor, with this esc in my rusty no problem.
The lower kv, like 3300 might be the best.

Lower kv = more low end torque, less speed
Higher kv = more high end torque, more speed.
This can also be because of gearing too.
I would only use 5400kv for the track, depending what the class and rules are. But like I said before, it can be done, just watch motor temps, and experiment with gearing with the temps.

Thanx man

I should also mention that higher the kv, the less S lipo you can run. So anything above 4000kv I would only run on 2s.
