My girl has had her Typhon 3s 1/8 for a few weeks and maybe ran it a hand full of times (light backyard racing) and one
the shock shafts has already tanked.

I want to upgrade them to be solid.
I'm new to the hobby so I'm not sure, will the 6s Typhon shocks be better without having to mod? Which types of shocks should I look for to be the most durable?

I'm really shocked (no pun intended) that these bent that easily as the car has never been jumped or hit at all

You can see the bent shaft in the pic

The shocks majin posted are from an infraction if I remember correctly.

The 6s typhoon shocks are what you will want to grab I believe.

We run them in our 3s big rock

You will need to do something for a bushing for the upper mount, we used these, but they seem to be unavailable currently 🙁

The lower mount to the arm needed to be shimmed with a couple washers and a little longer screw so they don’t rub on the axle

Those shocks are from an Infraction. I bought them for a project that didn't happen.
They were too short to use in my Granite or Gorgon.
Since @majin needed short shock that could suspend a 1:1 school bus, off they went! 🤣

The Arrma 6s shocks are much nicer than the 3s shocks that I also bought for this project.

The eye to eye length is all you need. (front and rear are likely different lengths 😉) Once you have those lengths, contact jennysrc.com
Tell them what you are upgrading and the lengths. Then they can tell you what they have in stock to fit your application.

I have had very good luck with jennysrc.com I have asked questions about their products and got next to immediate answers in return, shipping is fast and have yet to have an issue with anything I've bought from them. Most importantly to me, their prices are generally much lower than everywhere else. 😎

I'm using TLR shocks from the typhon 6s on both of my sentons. One of them sees a lot of skate park abuse and two years after install, not a single problem out of them. I did have to make upper mounting bushings. I used some small fuel line that made up the gap perfectly. I'm sure there are lots of options out there. These were one of the cheaper options I could find at the time.

If you buy the 6s from jennys, look at the hardware bags too. I found the mounting hardware and shock cap protectors in there too I think. 👍
Jennys is great. Don't forget Lumidave35
I just purchased a Typhon TLR front steering assembly from him. 7075 TLR Ackerman, bellcrank, EXB links & ends, top plate, steering posts, ball bearings, all, $22 shipped

I bought my Revo trsnsmission from Lumidave. 👍 I haven't installed it yet but looks to be a new take off, just as described, also came fast.

Thats super cheap for all those parts!!! 😲😎
