I finally killed the stock servo in my grom. I tried the eco 827, I just doesn't seem that strong i hit something and the centering goes off on the wheels. I put in a specturm SX108 with a hot racing servo saver. It seems a little bit better. Any good reccomendations on a servo? I'm not looking to spend $80 on a reefs and a new servo saver for a $120 truck

You could try putting an external BEC in it and crank that servo up to 8.4v. I have that same servo running at 6v and it does just fine in our Deadbox.

I don’t know if that servo you linked would work because it has 2 servo mount holes on each side while the stock servo has 1 on each side
my bad, didn't realize it was a 1/18 servo that he needs :(

I am not familiar with any quality mini servos, this was a main reason I stopped running mini's altogether, they would end up being too expensive to maintain due to lack of durability all around

I use a savox sh0255mg in my mini b. Not sure if it can fit the grom, but probably will. Might need a different spline servo saver / horn on it. I think the 2055 is discontinued, not sure. But 2064 I think is popular. NCDRC mini servos are also popular in the mini b racing scene. 🤷 used the 827 Eco power in my mini b and died 2 battery packs in. But to be fair I was using a losi servo horn, and on a carpet track.

how would one think a 12 gram servo would work in a 1/18 scale basher or even a 1/10 scale...I like a Hitec servo in the correct grams and speed in my minis( sometimes I just say what .. and wonder if anyone does a key stroke worth or work on what they need) ???
If you are talking about the Ecopower 827, 12g is the weight. Not the torque.
