on the plus side theres no more leaks in the cooling head

These things can be a horrible experience but once you suffer past all of the trial and error the end results are worth staying in the hobby. Sounds like your going through what i did with my first rig. The horrible headache of a tmaxx i bought used. But after replacing the engine and upgrading to the extended chassis and 3.3 arms and trans. I gave it to my father and we run the revo and that tmaxx almost everyday now and he is more addicted to it than me now! If we lived closer i would help you more but all i can recommend not being there is just buy yourself a new engine before the current one makes you hate nitro all together. Ebay is your friend now.

Just because that fuel tank seal is there doesn't meAn its working. When you close the lid it should need to be pushed closed completely. You will feel it seal tight. If not you can actually tighten the screw or hex head in the center of the inside of lid till it squeezes the seal out a tad and seals when you close it. Dont tighten it too much cuz you will strip the screw hole and damage the lid.

ill double check it. ya i got my pops playing with the electric stampede and the bandit atm ill never hate nitro i like the fact that its hard to get running, but when i can't i just take the day off and try again tomorrow or a couple hours later

Thats the way to do it. My problem lately has actually been i have nothing to work on because the revo is doing a good job of not breaking. Dad stays busy with the tmaxx due to he can't drive worth a damn and keeps smashing into stuff wide open! He just installed a set of rpm a-arms on the front today. That will help from breaking some but he will still manage to break something else. Its funny as hell to me when he wants to race around the rock garden in front and all i have to do is stay behind him one lap or so till he hits a tree then i lap him.

Take ur tank off and fill it with soapy water. Then blow in one of the lines and plug the other and look for bubbles. You can also take a little paint brush with soapy water and put it around the carb and plug the top throat with ur finger and blow in the inlet line. Also can check around the front bearing, thats where both of my 3.3s were leaking real bad.. Oh and if u fiil the tank make sure to rinse and dry good and rinse again with a little nitro fuel and dispose of it.Oh and dont forget the ziptie on the coupler to the exhaust, noticed it was missing in the last pic.

ya lol i still gotta zip tie that, the engine is sputtering like it wants to start. The ez start has a full battery and everythings spinning like it should..... could the ez start motor just be dieing and not spinning as fast as it should be ? I've got a new motor for it, should i got through the trouble of replacing it ?

if its spinning the motor over good i would not bother. I would really try the soapy water for air leaks. Free piece of mind. A little dish soap and some water and hope not to blow bubbles. Free piece of mind.

lol ill take anything thats free !

so what exactly am i looking for here?

took it off blew through it with the other hose plugged and i couldnt blow through it at all so i think thats good right.... no bubbles lol

does it matter what way the one way bearing goes in if it still turns the wheel? i took it all apart again and when i put it back in i noticed there is words on it, i put them facing out this time....... i have a feeling I'm going to have to turn it around lol

That zip tie missing will cause lack of back pressure and harder starting. Thats how i found the gash in mine causing it to not wanna pull fuel to engine and damn near running wand battery dead trying to start it.

lol ya had to be the bearer of bad news ! haha thanks for the info though

can anyone tell me where this little guy goes...... looks like some sort of bushing i dunno

the one to the left of the screws

The brass colored thing is the brake piston. It goes in the front of the tranny behind the brake caliper and aligns with the brake post notch.

hmm i never took the transmission apart..... wonder how i got that piece out lol i was wondering why that brake post would just spin around in there

The tranny doesn't have to come apart for that to fall out, if you took the brake pads off or if they were loose enough, it just falls out.

touche......... so now i gotta take all that off to get it back in haha oh how fun nitro is. Well its a learning process i guess half tempted to throw this thing on ebay haha naaa not after all this work i can't do that.

Hey schrode noticed it says ur active military. Do we have a vet one ? i just got out :P
