Able to use full size 2S "stick" packs that a person has laying around... that's a HUGE bonus in my opinion  :thumbs-up: :thumbs-up:
Edit: Traxxas must have had my house/laptop/head bugged

That mini is just about what I've been searching for.

I walked into my LHS to get one and just couldn't do it. That $299 price tag is more than I am willing to pay for a rig that size.
Yeah, I was surprised when I clicked on the link and saw the $290 price tag. I was expecting it to be in more of a $250 price range. Oh, well.

Exactly.
Just to find out it needs another $100 for some drivetrain upgrades

If being able to fit a standard 1/10 2s pack is a big priority the LC Racing 1/14 EMB-SC has a long enough space on the chassis to fit a standard hard case on it side, you might have to drill new holes in the chassis for the forward battery holder bit they do fit the long wheel base chassis.

That’s too big of a battery for that chassis.
The ovonic 2s 2200mah fits though. I have the lc12b1 so the motor layout is different but the 1/14-1/12 LC cars are basically the same as far as parts. The chassis length is the biggest difference.

My mistake, its the rear batter holder that has to be moved back on with new holes drilled to fit an SMC 5200mAh 2s pack into a the LWB short course chassis, a longer battery strap would be needed too.

Too boo koo. That battery is literally the same weight of the car, it’s unnecessary and killing performance. Sure you can drive that piece of dog crap for an hour now though. The same car with half the battery will run circles around you.
Drop down to a smaller battery, I promise you will be happier. The car will be happier too.

Sorry. I didn't mean to stir the pot with full size 2S battery usage "thing". A smaller 1/12 scale RC was in my search earlier this year. I'd be more inclined to buy the mini Slash if in kit form, or even if Traxxas offered them as a roller... at the right price of course. In any case, I kill performance on all my "race bred" RCs. 🤫 🤷‍♂️:singing:

It’s a small car is all and I was just trying to help a guy out, not come off as a complete tool.
In the LC cars, a full size pack is literally half the size of the car itself.
