Very cool looking rig but personally I wouldn't bother with it.
All aluminum is extremely heavy, ask me how I know. I couldn't get a decent speed out of my
baja 5b all aluminum if I wanted.
Aluminum a-arms are the worst, they bend on a hard hit and don't recover like plastic.
The price tag on that is absolutely ridiculous.
It's a expensive shelf queen, my baja started that way but it didn't fit on a shelf and too damn heavy to get it there.

MCD is certainly cheaper. Were you suggesting the XS5?

The same club also runs the rally class:

Any other reasons besides the price?

The base model's are cheaper, but if you get the max ultimate version with 4 wheel hydraulic brakes (they call this option "hydrax" brakes), 2 speed transmission, and IBS adjustable shocks it comes out to about $4,100. Even if you get a base model, you can always upgrade later.

I recently ordered the fully loaded XR5 Max Ultimate. Planning on driving it until I get tired of it then converting it to an XS5 or an RR5.

Also as far as other reasons, I think parts are easier to get and more readily available. At least where I'm from. I'm in Los Angeles CA. They are also much bigger vehicles. Their customer service is very good they respond quickly. Haven't had the same experience with any other brand in this category.

https://cardinalracing.com/products/mcd-ultimate-custom-spec?variant=47128114823482 if you go to the "custom" one and add all three options it will be the max ultimate version fully loaded. Such an amazing car

Go for it bro…

Mind you the MCD’s that can convert XR5/S5 RR5/W5 are a bit bigger..

But the Duox would be the same size as what you posted.

I think you’d get better support through Cardinal..

I’ve been playing with the XR5 and couldn’t be happier..

Looks amazing!! Can’t wait for mine to arrive

It sure does! I’m going gas and I hesitantly but irresistibly went for the fully loaded version with the 4 wheel hydraulic brakes, 2 speed transmission, and IBS shocks
😂 ya, you know you’re eventually gonna get those two upgrades so might as well get them right away. I still haven’t pulled the trigger on them yet, but yours is gonna be a beast!

Exactly! 😂 I looked at the prices to add them separately and it’s so much more like double or triple more

That’s dope, I got it last summer around this time and that option wasn’t available, it was just extra add on’s… but this was my first car with mechanical brakes, and feel like it took a while to get them set up , so the hydrax will be the first upgrade

Good luck with it! I used to have hydraulic brakes on an old baja 5b but those were a cheap set from China. Wonder how the MCD ones are for the price. I believe they require one servo for the front and one for the rear set of brakes
