Kraton 4s 1/10 scale servo upgrade

Hey,

Got my son the kraton 4s for Christmas, like everyone who has gotten it, steering sucks. Looking to upgrade servo and saver in a reliable and affordable way. We have done our research on brands, but would like to know other people's luck with what has worked.

Upgrading from the stock like 15-20kg to 40kg...Will it need an upgraded esc or anything? Or it will run with the

Now, upgrading from a 15-20kg to a 40kg is the esc going to have to be upgraded in the 4s?

No. It is fine for stock replacement.

His 4s Kraton is as big as some 1/8th scale trucks and almost as heavy. My recommendation is a Reefs 500 Raw. Even on 6v they're fairly stout and fast. I have them on all my 6s Arrmas, my daughter's Tekno MT48, I even have one in my Slash. US source gear sets, his truck won't be down for a month while you wait for gears from China.

The reason I run Reefs servos on all my trucks is because of how tough their gear sets are. On a beater the servo isn't a place to cheap out.
