Anyone drift RCs? I’m just looking for any tips/tricks. I’m brand new to the drift world and just ordered a MST RMX 2.5 RWD brushless model. Super stoked to get to my local track!

@WickedFog may be of help. I was gonna pull the trigger on the 2.5 classic kit. Learned they were discontinued and watched the one on ebay get taken from me. Looking at a boat now. Good luck drifting.

It's a shame you didn't get to build the kit. The 2.0 was one cool build, because the design is so different that other RC builds I've done.

I don't have any help because ours is just a roller. I won't be able to buy any electronics for awhile.

Well if I get serious with it, I will be upgrading electronics. I already have a new servo and gyro on the way. Would you like my take offs?

I’m an RTR kinda guy, I like to drive em till they break then tear apart and figure everything out. I just get too excited lol

iv got a Kyosho Mini Z set up for drifting. I'm not very good at it, but i try. never been to a track, so far iv just slid it around in my garage trying to get the hang of it.

That’s pretty sweet! I wish I had a garage to setup a little course. I do have a “local” track that’s about a 35min drive. Hopefully another opens soon… hard to say though

be glad, my nearest drift track is over an hour through bumper to bumper LA traffic. needless to say iv never been there.

Yikes. That’s rough for sure! I live in Upsate NY where everything is “far” away but there’s rarely any traffic. It’s usually a nice drive anyhow!

I have gyros and servos that would be as good as the MST RTRstuff. But I don't like to use that stuff except for emergency. No sense building a new kit with subpar stuff then have to tear it down to replace it. But thanks for the offer. I just have a number of projects in front of the drift kit at the moment.

I am sure the stock stuff will do just fine in these though. I have seen a number of vids on the RTR versions and they do pretty good. But ours will need a bit more power because we'll be driving on a surface with more grip.

id consider myself lucky if that were the case. probably hit that track once or twice a month.
what I'm facing is a 70 mile drive that according to google, right now, in rush hour traffic would take an 1 hour 53 minutes. 😲 and to top it off gas is $4.60+ a gallon right now so yeah...

Yea I do! Looks like I need to check the wheelbase on that bad boy so I can see if that body will fit the PTG 😆

Update: that E30 body will fit my PTG...added to my list :)
