I haven't gotten super far yet: about to start putting parts on the chassis. I ordered some Duratrax Warthog 2.8's and the wing/mounts.

Sweet! My only tip/concern when doing the shocks is to clean the threads of piston retaining screws and the inside of the shock shafts before applying threadlocker... let threadlocker cure before filling shocks with oil.

I will definitely do that. I also got the machined pistons and aluminum shock caps.

I see what you are saying. I'm used to the old design with the m3 lock nut that secures the piston. I can see that getting messed up if your not used to it. Having the Tekno multi-tool really helps to get that tiny screw tight.

I just noticed that the title of the thread has "truggy" in it. I was contemplating making a mini truggy out of a Rival MT10. I'm just curious if you meant monster truck, and your fingers just had a mind of their own?
I knew that was coming.

Oh I meant truggy. Got this in the mail today.

I really like the idea of turning this into a truggy, but i am having a hard time imagining what body would go with it. Even as a MT I feel like the body options are limited.

Mostly crawlers bodies from what I’ve been finding out. I got one in mind for ours, but I’m just going mt

Well, the warthog tires look like they should perform great, but...

The hubs all have a defect in the mold that makes them crack when you put the screw through... I'm sure amain will take care of it.
