Aftershock rebuild

Wouldn't it be cheaper to get those parts individually on ebay? Jenny's RC, Dollar Hobbyz and Lumidave are a few that I always see parting new trucks out, Dollar Hobbyz is where I got my parts from when I had to rebuild. You should be able to get all of that for a lot less, you could probably convert it to a XXL and still have a little change. I think if you hit ebay you could get everything in that kit, minus the wheels, arms and inner gear cover with enough $ left over to get the RPM arms and gear cover insyead of the stock. The only hard to find part from that kit (from what I've heard) are the wheels. Just my opinion though. Also what is the difference in the side rails?

That is a good point, thanks for the tip. :D

No problem man. I was able to get my truck fixed for $28, that was with spares and and another stock tool kit (I just wanted an extra T-Handle) It would've been over $100 for just the parts I broke if I had paid retail. I'll always support my LHS for most of my purchases, but if the price gap is that big......gotta hit the bay. You probably know this already but if you go with the RPM arms replace the turnbuckle with a Lunsford one, apparently the RPM ones are known to break.

I finally decided to get the single speed conversion hub for the aftershock. I love having reverse, and the braking is better than it was with the separate servo.

Have you noticed any rise in temps? I know sometimes the temp will jump up from stopping.

And where's a vid?

What motor do you have in it? You could use a bigger pinion to help keep the front end down too. I have a Tekin 1550KV on 6S in my LST2 and it will pull wheeling from half throttle in gravel with a 29T pinion on it. I ordered a 34T XO-1 pinion to help keep the torque down some but I havent installed it yet :)

Its an alphastar 2350kv. The motor temps are a bit high, so I may go with a smaller pinion, or readjust the punch control.

Jumping back to the LST2 which is now an xxl. Upgrades include hd top chassis plates, TiNi ring and pinion, GPM chassis brace and the xxl extended chassis.
