She needs a little love and a few parts but looks to be in pretty good condition. I've already disassembled and thoroughly cleaned the 454, it was a bit gummed up and cleaning it cost me about half a can of WD-40. Started tearing into the rest of the truck for cleaning. Will probably ditch the stock a-arms for some RPM arms, I was told the stock arms can't handle very much abuse. Anyone else who has advice for me on what to upgrade please share.

Schweet! I still have the original stock arms on my LST and have had zero issues.

I do have a few suggestions:

A sway bar kit will help the rig tremendously.

LocTite the grub screws on the axle shafts cause they will come lose and you will drop the pins.

Watch the pins in the hubs cause they like to fall out too.

Got her almost completely disassembled...

I did notice the one bent shock shaft.

I still need to pop open the diffs to re-grease and will probably add some 200xxx weight diff lock oil while I'm in there. Also plan on polishing the top chassis plate, hopefully I can get a mirror finish.

I can't wait to get her running. I've wanted a Losi MT for so long but never had the money for a new one. I have to thank Randy for selling me this great rig. I was amazed at the size of it when I got it, I thought it was going to eat my savage.:hehe: If it's anything like my mini LST, then it should be as durable as the savage, if not more.

Quick update. The truck is halfway together now, rear diff has been disassembled, cleaned, rebuilt, re-greased and the rear end has been reconnected to the chassis. It has cleaned up pretty well so far, however the skid-plates have seen better days and are not salvageable so I will be picking up a set of Losi's HD anodized skids for it. Also picked up a new back plate for the 454.

Question- Why is there a need for 5 servo mounts on the upper chassis? I know that two servos go up front for steering, the two behind those are for throttle/ brake and maybe a reverse option? But what is the reason for the one in the last picture at the very back of the chassis?

I believe it's for a rear wheel steering servo, if you were inclined to install one :)

Aww I was sad after I hit the bottom, looking fantastic, nothing more gritty and fun that an older project lol. Looking good though nicely done

Front end is reassembled and installed back on the chassis, engine and fuel tank are mounted, sway bars are in and I just finished repainting the pipe and header. Working on the transmission now.

Is there supposed to be another gear on the other side of the bevel gear? I noticed that there is room for one, would this make it more durable?

The manual does not show another gear. I would recommend a better pipe for that engine. That pipe was for a .26 and isn't the best for performance from what I've read/been told.
