AE having beef with HH

I ordered my Hoonicorn APEX 2 kit direct from AE (free shipping, no tax), but I just placed an order from Tower for some spare parts (suspension arms, drive cups, wheels/tires) due to their insane Associated sale prices (and a $10 loyalty discount). I also added a Hoonitruck body set and a set of CVAs for the MT10. :woohoo:

I figure I'm helping Associated to clear out H/T's inventory. :hehe:

I usually go with wherever is easiest or cheapest within reason. I do shop Horizon too. But as long as AE has their own website I'm good.

Meanwhile at AE 🤣🤦

Idk if that's true or not I just found that someone posted it lol.

AE has a clearance sale on ebay all the time. Scratch and dent stuff...
But sometimes their web site is cheaper.
The Apex 2 Hoon was cheaper direct with no tax and free shipping.
On their eBay page, both were added on.

Speaking of AE's beef with Horizon, Tower Hobbies has a pretty good sale on all Associated/Element stuff until tomorrow. I picked up a couple more Wolfpack shorty battery packs for my crawlers.

No Ultron body? Seemed like a good buy.

Lol!!! Sometimes I'll catch a scratch and dent, all sales final deal for like $8 off a $400 kit on a site and I gotta wonder... is $8 worth it? 🤔
I'd like to think that if the esc blows up in my new buggy, I'd have it replaced for free. Even if that option cost $8. 🤷‍♀️

The AE scratch and dent stuff has MUCH bigger discounts than that. Typically, even if you got a dud ESC and motor, its still a good deal.

huh, anyone know if these will fit in a Tamiya chassis molded to fit a nimh "shotgun tube" stick pack? i could use a new pack for my M chassis.
I believe those are designed to be replacements for nimh packs. So it should fit.

AE direct discounts might be. I think it was Amain that had those tiny discounts.

I wouldn't be upset if I was saving a substantial amount and then I had to replace a major item, I agree.

AE's ebay S&D stuff is where it's at. Really good deals there sometimes.

Tower seems to require the $10 for a year of premium membership to get their good scratch and dent discounts. They have scratch and dent (they specifically claim to be box only) sale of the 1/10 Arrma Vorteks 223s for $250 right now. $260 if you count the membership cost, but that's still $110 cheaper than non-damaged boxes. Crazy discount.
I've been eying one for a while, so I grabbed that last night along with some discounted Team Associated shock oil for $2 (sorry, TA!).
