If mine wasn't I don't think that will be. I had roof damage, windshield, hood, fender, bumper, and headlight. $4500 total damage.

I know its a small pic but theonly one I have online at the moment.

vb if my car got molested by a moose i would have begged them to total it..

I tried, when I got shot down I said screw it just pushed out the roof a bit and put a new windshield in it. Cost me a total of 350 for windsheild headlight and towing! I put the rest of it in my back pocket. :D

AC48, good to hear that you are medically ok. Car looks bad, but I doubt it is a total. Most of damage is bolt on parts, and if there is any sheet metal damage it is in an area where they can weld a new body clip on it.

Well guys its most likely totaled. They "Found more damage under the damaged parts" or something.

I may buy it back and fix it up...its just that it has 188K miles on it. Not sure if it'd be worth it at it;s age. This car holds a huge amount of sentimental value to me...and my dad. 11 years ago my dad bought a Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo...basically the same car and its his favorite car ever...which is the main reason why I was able to buy a car as fast as this one is. We found a 3000GT with a 3500 watt sterio system for sale about 45 min from me...may be going to look at it tomorrow. Cost more but we'll see. Depending on how bad it is I may fix her up...maybe with an aftermarket bodykit :D

Also the his insurance company are douche holes... they are only allowing a rental car for 5 days...

What else was damaged underneath? Get that guy for medical damages as well ... seen a doctor yet? (other than your parents)

Damn AC, that's a bitch. I know you were psyched when you got it. I had almost the same thing happen to me about 2 months ago. I got rear-ended at a stop light. My passenger and I were ok. A bit sore for a few weeks. I had some headaches for a bit but we're fine now. The back of my Intrepid didn't look quite that bad. But they still found $3000 worth of damage. It's like you said. There's damage beneath the damage. Rear bumper cover. Impact cushion. Rear bumper frame. 3 or 4 trunk panels. A new deck lid. It really added up. Luckily I had one of the best guys in town take care of it and you can't see any hint of damage at this point.

Allstate...and we have to pay $12 of it a day!!! OMFG!!! They said they'd give us $27 a day for 5 days...the cheapest rental car we can find is $39 or something...assholes...

Some good news, the guys at the Autobody shop said that I should be able to get the Kelly Blue Book retail value of the car, which is around $6,700. I found a 3000GT within 45 minutes of me, they are asking $6,000...going to look at it tomorrow :)

I have not seen a doctor and don't plan to, my neck doesn't even hurt anymore.

glad your alright, but after they fix it if they do it's just never seems the same
i had a new avalanche and got t-boned by a old dude running a red light, after i got it back, wind noise, contoll problems, weird dash light coming on ,i dont mean to s*** on your parade but it just dosen't seem to be the same after you get it back....good luck with the insurance people.

idk Diver...they just siad once they took off the bumper and stuff there are more damaged parts that will need to be replaced. Nothing official as far as totalage haha. Also found a sickass VR4 on ebay...supposedly has 370 HP... in NJ. :D

.30... I know what you mean...just won't be the same...which is why I am kinda hoping I will end up with the 6K one 45 min from me.

Its totaled guys...going to get my stuff out of it today. :( $4,500 worth of damage....which is exactly what I bought the car for, then put in a new windsheild, then put in a new wheel bearing, then added some rims...ugghh....

Going to get my stuff and look at another 3000GT today.

GET YO RIMS SUCKA!!!!!
sorry to hear it but you really don't want your dream car after it's been trampled on.....like .30 said It's never the same....like getting back to gether w/ a girl that's been screwing around on you.....you can never trust it again

I am getting my rims and I can get my subwoofers, but if I take out my Alpin Deck and Boston Acustics speakers they will decuct the value of the the car since I have nothing to put in their place. I have the stock rims to put on and the woofers are extra so I can take them, but if I take anything out of the car that I cannot replace they'll deduct...assholes. Which means I also have to give them a perfectly good cold air intake :(

I found a 370 HP VR4 on ebay....and I have friends that live like 10 minutes from it :D. The listing says the Turbo PSI was bumped from 9 to 14 psi...his math was 320 HP to 370HP...sounds pretty close to actual to me.

Thats why I keep all of my stuff when I put aftermarket. Even if I sell the car I give the stock stuff for that reason. Go to radio shack and buy a cheap radio and stuff that in the car. Then they can't deduct because it has a radio. Do the same for speakers. Have I done this before? Of course!!!! I've had a few of my cars trashed in the day, most not my fault.

If yo uhave a pawn shop go there and get some POS stuff to put in its place.

yeah AC they don't need the radio to work...it just has to have something in there...in fact most companies won't even require it to be hooked up...just jam it in the dash......why give them something they can let their junkyard boys strip out and runaround in a shitbox truck w/ a 1000 dollar system in it....

go to walmart and get it even cheaper. or the cheapest way go to a salvage yard a pull one out. i could do it probally for free but just shipping would cost.

damn ac,get some cheap ass speakers outta a wrecking yard, and get the acoustics and the alpine outta there.

When I hit my moose all my stuff was out of the car before the adjuster even went to see it. I had a couple grand worth of audio equipment in the car. Holes in the doors and all. Put my stocker back into it speakers and all. It took me and my bro about an hour to strip it. The sad thing is that I took a good 15-20 hours installing it all. Ohwell I guess.
