So my whole car needed a clean up that thing was oh sooo dirty lol soo i took it apart wash it down with wd40 and then washed it down with the hose without the motor, and electronics. so everything is spiffy and clean except for the motor and iam very lazy lol but i want it like new sooo would me spraying it down with wd40 and then water do anything to it ? what if i take off the glow plug and do it ?

do you have easy off oven cleaner? that works great on the motor, also keap your glow plug in, and cover the carb inlet and exhoust.. if dirt gets in there it will ruin your motor... also the wd-40 is a dirt magnet. to keep it clean, try doin a 50/50 mix with armoral and water. just lightly brush it on everything and dry it with a blow dry..(after you have cleaned with wd-40/water)when you come in from a bash, you can easly just dust the dirt off..

Whoa, no way would I spray easy off on my engine! I use easy off to strip anno off of parts. So unless you want to strip the anno off your head stay away from easy off. Also this hobby is no place to be lazy, take the time to do it right, or you WILL regret it sooner or later. I use a toothbrush, denatured alcohol, and a compressor to blow it all off.

I've tried to strip ano with easy off.. it didnt work for me at all.. I've de-anod everything i have and always use easy off on my motor, as long as its not in the car so it can thourolly be washed off.. i learned about it from rc car action mag and have been doing it like this for years.. never a problem.. I've let that stuff sit on parts for de-ano'ing for up to 15min. with no coming off.. am looking for the articule in rc car action now.. i can't be provin wrong..sorry

OK, so lets see the article, you sure it wasn't on RCU that you saw it? I stripped every bit of purple off my RS4 3 and all the blue off my original T-Maxx using the original yellow can easy off.

parts clean thay sell it at any car supply shop i get it for FREE work good and doesn't strip anything use it alot never had a problem brake clean works too
