Signed up for another challenge with is rig on the scaletra app. This time sponsor by Reef's. Don't know if there is a prize in the form of a discount like the last 1 from rc4wd....but I used the 10 % off they gave me for completing the last challenge to get these super neat wheels and tires.

It's just naturally seemed fair to spend the coupon on stuff for the truck that helped earn it. 5 lug stamped steel, wrapped in licensed Goodyear Wranglers

I actually really like that Duratrac from RC4WD.
Did it come in the new compound?

I have their XSS? I can't remember, in a 1.9. I had a low bar but they far exceeded my expectations.

It is a duratrac tire. It's also the only tire in 1.55x4.19...and yes, while I haven't driven them yet, the compound feels pretty damn nice.
 
Now that I am somewhere I can get the page load....it's the advanced x2s3 compound....sure sounds clever anyway. I should get the first couple miles on em by Saturday at the latest.

The stealth x transmission comes with the middle configuration on this truck, approx. 6% underdrive. They include gears for to effectively double the under/over drive ratio for improved rock crawling. What I want is where my thumb is with 1/1 zero under/over drive. So far the only thing I can find is buying sets of the 3 different idler and 3 different drive gears to get 1 of each 52/28 to change it over. Does anyone have a lead on where I can buy these independently or as a 52/28 set? I have called associated 3 times and left a message once. I have never reached anyone, and not been called back in over a week.
 
Haven't gotten out with everything else going on today. The way the front suspension feels with the shock oil change, I feel like I should do the same to the back. So much smoother, more responsive motion with a bit lighter weight oil.
 
Oil changed out in the back now as well. On the bench everything looks and feels better....today we find out. Gonna see if I can get the challenge started and finished today.

Soon to go and check on the ticks and poison ivy in a different location than previous adventures. There is a spectacular view from the top, and a beautiful day claiming to be in the mid 80s for a high.
