seeing as my savage shell is a little bit worse for wear
i was thinking about repairing the few cracks it has and repairing the front body mount holes with some shoe goo and left over cut off from other body shells as see that everyone raves about it

only thing as its a stock shell and already painted i was thinking about spraying it white but on the outside
i was thinking along theses lines
sand body down and clean to take any grease/oil off the shell
use a plastic primer /light coats to build up
use the white / use light coats to build up
finish with a clear coat or 2

i have sprayed loads of 1/1 car parts that was plastic but would the rc shell take to this way of doing it and should i use the rc paint or just the normal stuff i have used when doing 1/1 stuff?

i know it may not last long as we all know the savage love being on it roof

just wondering if anyone else has done/tried this? and if so what was it like and any pics?

cheers baz

You have to use lexan paints, Pactra makes good paint and is being talked about in another thread now... Use the search feature, my clicking finger hurts..

Havent done it myself but have heard of plenty of others doing it. As long as you understand its gonna scratch off everytime its on its roof than why not do it? You definately need to use lexan based paint as the 1:1 stuff isnt made to flex or bend and will start to chip and flake off making the lid look like its got a bad case of leproacy!!

spot on mate cheers just also been reading about people also putting on a clear varnish like

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190631501...AX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_1503wt_989

with good results to body flex

was also going to put to roof bars on the roof to help protect it
