why does my x maxx spur gears keep breakin? it lasted for 30 sec before it was stripped.

Have you checked for any cracks in the bulkhead? Did you change the gearing and move the pins to the correct locations?
I don't care for the pre-set motor mount setup. I prefer to set my backlash (gear mesh) manually. Usually those presets are on the loose side. You can remove the motor mount pins and set the mesh manually on the Xmaxx.
