so I'm like umm ok.?.?

then i get up beside him and this is what i see

the truck in front has a small trailer connected to it (the blue part), there is a full size van straped to the trailer. then the other semi truck is CHAINED to the trailer tight enough to put it in a bind and hold the rear of the semi up off the ground.

and this guy is cruzin bout 75 or so down a busy interstate headed into houston.

i just REALLY hope nothing happens and that stuff comes loose!! could be really nasty!

sorry for the crap pics, it was my phone and i was driving.

Beason, I was a truck driver for 24 years mostly 9 western states. That picture reminds me of a time about 15 years ago while driving north on highway 99 in California late on night around midnight, another t.Driver heading south came over the cb and said there was a sb driver in the nb lane. This was freaky too cause that night there was what they call tooley fog, can't see 10 ft in front of you. Keeping my eyes peeled and my hands white nuckeld to the steering wheel and just hoping this guy isn't in my lane, Was loaded with 78,000 pounds of frieght that night. It was a good night for me cause he was drunk and just saw him out of the corner of my eye to my left in the center medium go by me. My hands hurt for an hour after that. Scary feeling my friend. Hope you never have to go thru that. That picture you took is scary enough on a clear day.

WOW Very cool pic's
So that truck was chained to the back of the flat bed?

it wasn't even a "flatbed, it was a stuby trailer. the tires of the trailer are just in front of the rear tires of the rear truck. there "regular" size tires (not 18wheeler size) and there not even touching the ground. the back of the trailer is setting on the 5th wheel of the rear truck and a big chain is wrapped around the rear truck between the axles and pulled tight enough to pick the truck up off the ground.

Actualy the chain was probably there to lock out the movement of the fifth wheel. I haven seen it done before where they attach the rearend of the semi to the fifth wheel of another semi but I have never seen it done like that.

Man that is just insane!!! The thought of that trucks weight riding on "regular" truck tires is just scary. Those babys must have been heating up and fast with that much of a load on them. I wouldnt be suprised if one by one the exploded into a million pieces. I have almost had that happen when I had to much weight in the back of my truck. Two huge rolls of carpet, when I reached the job site my tires where litteraly melted and just about to blow. That dude must have been on crack to try something like that lmao!

Wow. I didn't know those flatbeds could haul that much weight. I wonder what would have happened of the weightmaster saw that. :alarm:
