Would it be ok if I broke in my new engine by doin 5 tanks or so starting off really slow driving and rich and gradually got faster the more tanks and so on ??

Yea. After running about 5-6 mins shut off and let cool than repeat.

You want it rich to keep it lubed, but you have to get the engine up to temp. 5 tanks is average for the initial break in, after that you can start tuning for performance.

If off what type of rig are you talking about? Is this a new rig or just a new mil? Follow manufactures break in.

if rig means car yeah it is a new car and if mil means engine yeah its obviously a new engine as well

I don't know what kind of car you have, but I've always followed the Traxxas break in procedures and even added a few more cycles to be on the safe side.

They should be close unless the factory made a mistake, which is always possible. Find out what the base settings are and start there.

run it rich, if u dont see lots of smoke coming from the exhaust then richen up. if the temps are lower than 200 lean it a touch, only till the temp goes to 200. if it goes over, richen again.
