Working out with the Stars well sort of

Hey All... i am in Cali right now and wanted to go to the gym while i was here. I thought it would be cool to go to Golds Gym in Cali. So i took a cab to the one near my hotel which was in Hollywood. I started working out and a guy asks me if he can go in with me on particular machine. It turned out to be Danny Bonaduce not a big star but certainly recognizable to some especially to people who remember the partridge Family... LOL It was kinda cool anyway..... Oh yea there were plenty of hot young thangs working out there too... I am going back Monday LOL

No autographs... i was on there turf... they were just trying to work out like everyone else does around the country.... but it was fun.

thats cool. Yeah, my uncle is big in the baseball scene and whenever I'm around him theres a few celebs. (Bill Murray and Mick Veck (Owner of the St.Paul saints, Charlston River dogs and Detroit tigers) are his best friends) But I never want to bug them for autographs and show them I'm in "ooo ahh" like most people. Was Danny B. a pretty bug dude? I wouldnt image to big, but thats just on Tv.

Gotta love LA....well...no you don't. Lived near there for 2 years and had plenty of encounters. Acutally they were all positive. Loni Anderson nearly knocked me off the sidewalk into traffic on Rodeo Drive, but all the others were cool. My wife (at the time) even sat and chatted with Sela Ward while we were waiting for the valet in Beverly Hills one afternoon. Turns out they are just normal people...

Yea when you do see them doing stuff that we all do... they certainly become human.... but if i saw one of those hottie starlets.. like jessica alba... i think a restraining order might be in my future LOL.....

Yep, living in So Cal has it's perks. Then you realize your just a working slob driving in the worst traffic you can imagine. I grew up playing on the beach with Telly Savalas' kids (Kojak, the original), and bumping into all kinds of stars night and day. You see movies being filmed constantly, too. I've ended up in a few movies myself just by being somewhere at the right time, not really planning to be in the shot or an extra. In some areas of LA you can pull up to a signal light and be sitting with Paula Abdul on one side of you and Steven Speilberg on the other.

I used to run into Arnie (Ahnold) a lot when I worked in a restaurant near the very first original Golds Gym. A lot of local type celebs (mainly news people) are seen around town, too.

Also, if you get a chance to go to Rivera Country Club for a golf tourney, bring your camera. If you can sneak into the locker room, snap photos like crazy. Almost every Hollywood star has a locker there, and they put their names on them. You can't miss them! Besides the golf stars, you get the Hollywood stars as a bonus!

There's a bunch, but I cannot remember them all. I was one of the kids skateboarding (Iwas 14)on PCH in Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke, in one of the nightclub scenes in Valley Girl and also in the Lost Boys, and the most recent one was in the back ground of the hotel lobby in Harrison Ford's Hollywood Homicide.

By the way, the guy (Danny Moder) that married Julia Roberts, I taught his older brother (John) to surf. Spent almost every weekend of my summers at their Paradise Cove (Malibu) home. Their dad is Mike Moder. He did many TV series like Matlock, and a few big movies, biggest one I can remember was Jeremiah Johnson, starring Robert Redford. His oldest daughter, Jane (what a FOXXXX!!!) was also in Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke. She was the girl that was hitchhiking with a friend (both looking REAL sexy from the rear with long blond hair) when the two stoners pass them, then turn around, only to discover that it was really two guys with real long hair. (Did I mention she was a FOXXXXX!!!)

Oh, and I was in PeeWee Herman's Big adventure, his first movie. Most of that movie was shot in downtown Santa Monica (Dogtown!). The bike shop where PeeWee worked and had his bike stolen was an actual bike shop. The girl that played his supposed girlfriend also played in Valley Girl. She was dating my friend's older brother at the time. I could tell stories. She was as saucy as she looked.
