I wanna airbrush my GWS logo on the hood of one of my kits but I'm unsure of how to replicate some of the effects.

First off the Initals GWS have to be put on before the tribal back ground because the green alien glow surrounds the letters in their entirety. Then the tribal would have to go on and the glow would have to go around the edges of that too. Seems to me the only way to accomplish this would be to put the letters and their glow down first and then lay mask over top of it and then do the tribal background. My first question is can I do that with out harming the first layers of paint that I put down?

Second question is what would be the best acrylic color (or mixture of colors) to match the green "alien" glow?

Last but not least how do you airbrush black and white marble as seen in the tribal portion of my logo?

Thanks,

Actually it's a question of masking. You can mask it where you can paint the logo as well as lettering at the same time. On something like that, I would print it and use XXX-Main glue to glue it to the inside of the shell.

I dont want to glue it I want to paint it. I can't mask it all at the same time because then I wouldnt be able to get the green glow effect behind the letters where the tribal symbol overlaps the letters, if you get what I mean. It seems like the only way I could do this would be to mask the letters first and paint them with the glow around them and then mask over it again for the tribal symbol and then the glow behind that. I just dont know if you mask over an area thats painted will it mess up your paint?

You might be able to help the paint cure faster using a blow dryer on low-heat/fan. After the paint has flashed doing that, I'd give it a good 30-45 minutes minimum before masking it.

I dont mind letting it cure over night to be on the safe side I just didnt know if it would hurt the paint you already have down.
