You'd just have to watch it. It's not just about Amazon. It's about why everyone has to buy new cell phones. Why certain things are basically programmed to die after so much use. Like the $400 Oculus I bought my kid. One of the guys that designed it explained how it's completely glued to be tamper proof. When the battery goes, and soon, it's a paperweight. And they planned that. It's a really good documentary. And it's about all the waste that we don't see that is being dumped around the world on countries that can't do much but say ok.
My son is playing Oculus as we speak. Glad it’s gonna be useless before too long 🙄 Now I wanna find that documentary.

It's on Netflix. I am watching the rest of it now. I started it way past my bedtime the other night and tried to make it through it, but I couldn't.

That falls under politics. We have gotten away from building quality repairable goods in the USA, and moved to cheap disposable foreign goods.

How many times do you grab a paper plate because your to lazy to wash a dish. The last few generations have never known any other way. 🤷‍♂️

Consumerism has been an issue since the 70's.

Haha , I’ll check out Amazon among other places too like Amain.
I got an orange one from harbor freight. It’s the same thing Home Depot sells as a “Klein”

I've watched this happening for a while now. Our kids don't understand why we take so long researching products before we buy them... Youngest asked me once if what I did was to find a product, buy it and then keep it for life.
His face almost fell off when I said "YES!"!
Electronics manufacturers not bothering to install a 25 cent fuse to protect a thousand dollar tv doesn't make sense... too expensive for them.
Meanwhile, designed to fail, nonservicable electronics with next to nothing wrong with them filling up our oceans and landfills.
We just produce more. More tv's, more polution, more waste, more debt for us, more profit for "them".
I do things differently than others, no doubt.
I fear when I die, my tools will be sent to the landfill too.
Our youngest plays a video game for hours a day where he plants, grows digital f'ing potatos!!!
Its consumerism but the issues are deeper in society and in greed.
Do we really still believe that the bearings in our 1:1 cars can ONLY wear out EVERY 12kmiles???
They are shipped without enough grease. Not no grease, just not enough for them to actually function as designed.
Our whole world is set up to fail in the same manor, for the same greedy reasons.
We keep poisoning our environment, our world for what exactly?
The fact that we still make low quality, low grade ANYTHING is a pretty good indication of the wastefulness of our society.

I just want to know how many good RC cars get tossed every day 😉

My youngest has decided he wants a new RC for Xmas. He’s been using the old Rustler which we fixed up a bit and has been running pretty good I have to say. But he wants something that’ll keep up with the brushless trucks that his brother and buddy have. He wants a Stampede 4x4 VXL like his pal. Which is fine. I’m gonna have him check out Arrma too. The collection is growing 😃

I read the warnings and still bought my son the 3s big rock. It’s ok for a minute 😂. I probably have more into that thing than I have in the tekno mt he has coming under the tree 😂. I would have already sent it on its way but he worked for it and I gotta keep it around

I would personally grab him a bone stock mt10 🤷‍♂️

That’s probably gonna be what I build for my daughter if I don’t grab up another mt410 2.0 from Pete by the end of the month 🤣
I wanted to get him a stock MT10 but he “likes the one Thomas has”. Which is the Stampede. Fine with me. He just wants a different color.

Neither is a bad choice, IMO.

Between those two for a 3S choice... Traxxas, but If I were looking right now, the Kagama 4 looks pretty good to me too.

That Kagama is supposed to be wicked as well. Corally makes really nice stuff. If I were looking for an Arrma alternative that is actually a lot better, it would be that.
