Niiice. Thanks. I’m gonna have to get an RC tool box for all my new stuff 😃

Sweet. Protek and MIP seem like the go-to for drivers.

I fit a fair amount of my commonly needed stuff in the MIP “TrapperKeeper” lol.. I do need to come up with a decent caddy for the work bench in the RC room, but I’ve been hunting for over a year, and have yet to find anything I like.. That pretty unbelievable with so many people 3D printing them…🤷🏻‍♂️😅

Wheels/Tires are the #1 tuning tool in every surface RC platform/class, and the offerings for anything aside from 1/10, and 1/8 off-road are flat out PATHETIC. (And we all know how Littlemotor loves his wheels & tires
Amen brother! I been pounding the internet for raceworthy 1/5 tires, you know, for clay, dismal at best. Not to get too far off script, but the GRP 1/6 are a bust, shredded sidewalls, tread still pretty mint. Sucks. I'm wondering how sturdy the sidewalls are on the beadlock Jconcepts stuff? Reflex/Chasers are all that's left, Proline bailed from the market.
What really stinks is in 1/5 there are no truggies, just buggy or sct, which means short and fat or tall and skinny.. I managed to shave 2lb off my K8 this past weekend, so maybe some 1/5 sct beadlocks might stand a chance. IDK. $250 to find out though, ouch.

I’d pass HARD on the Jato.. Absolutely guarantee 90% of its new owners to be heavily let down. Just my .02..

You will be ULTRA impressed with the Tekno buggy for your first 1/8 kit build for sure. As mentioned by @KnowAir above-You can get a ludicrously fast 6s basher buggy from Arrma for relatively decent pricing..

Sworkz makes an ULTRA high quality 1/8 off-road brushless RTR as well that shares a LOT with their PRO kit… In my personal opinion, as far as RTR quality, performance, and value go-this one can NOT be beat.. Like not even close to anything else..🤷🏻‍♂️ Their Fit and Finish is right up there with Xray, Mugen Seiki, and Tekno.. Without a doubt.. It truly amazes me that this is an RTR vehicle… And the price… Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit..😳

and shipping would obviously be free from BeachRC, and they get it out QUICK.. One of my absolute favorite online outfits to deal with hands down.
I’m still drooling over this magnificent beast. This may be my number one choice for Xmas. I definitely want something 1/8 scale. Sworkz is most likely gonna be the one I get. I still like Tekno , Kraton and Typhon TLR too.

Gotcha, me too.

1/8 scale can be fun, but I prefer more ground clearance than most buggies provide...
I’ve been considering that. I know buggies have an LCG and are built for dirt tracks. I just think they look fast and fun. And the Sworkz Apollo that Littlemotor pointed out looks unbelievable.

Then there’s the Kraton which people seem
to like much more than the Sledge as far a truggies go.

Add street tires and you'll have a missle of a buggy! I really like the Sworks too, looks exotic.
Have you checked out Hobao? Not trying to muddy the waters, but they make some fine machines too from what I've heard.

Yeah, the buggies can be sexy, but they just don't perform as well for my uses. If I was interested in racing, or had a smoother area to run them, then they'd probably work out ok. I do run my Rally on a baseball diamond, and it can be fun.

The clearance on my MT10 is perfect for the fields I’ve been driving on. I still wanna put street tires on it eventually to zip around the pavement.

That can be fun too! I built a Slash 4x4 for that... LCG chassis and Proline Street Fighter tires.
