Back in the early 80s, I built/modified a Hornet and Wild Willys... Then I got my first RC10... :celebrate:

The only Tamiya model I ever lusted after was the Bruiser... was just never in my budget.
A full lunchbox makes me happy. 🫠😅 The pumpkin always got me.

A Lunchbox full of Pumpkin!!! And just in time for Halloween!!!
I'm pretty sure if I say it real fast when she's half asleep, I could get a 2 for 1 past my girlfriend this month! 🤣

Has anyone ever bought an expensive RC that turned out to be junk? Or an inexpensive one that turned out to be a real gem?
Yep. My Redcat Blackout XTE was less than 180. I converted it to brushless & it's a totally fun RC to run. Light, nimble, quick, & hasn't broke. I've punished it over & over. Bought it in 2020. Only thing I've done is refill the shocks with oil & a 25kg servo & servo saver delete.

That’s a sweet truck. It can get some nice air. Do you have street tires on?

Wow! That thing goes pretty good!

You run right out by the street like that huh?
When I run my r/c's near the street, my neighbors slam on the brakes like they're expecting a 1/10 scale dude to come chasing out into the street behind it, waving a ratchet or something!
🙄

My Optima was a bit of a gamble.
No one owned them. No one stocked parts. No one knew much about them.
I think I'd seen a few race once or twice was what pushed me to buy it.
It wasn't cheap.
With the exception of breaking A-arms, I still love it!
I could blame my poor driving skills on breaking arms too.
Love it enough to keep buying them today! 🤣😎

Thanks Mike! Yeah- I have a 1/4 mile straight road in front of my house & 1/2 acre out back. Out in the county, only Saturdays (or Friday afternoon) have a lot of traffic. I have at times, ran a RC for a full pack, 30min, only have 3 or 4 cars. Sunday mornings are best!

It was good of the city to build you a nice custom jump out front too! 🤣
My street tends to get busy on weekends and 5:00ish
During the week days after rush hour, school buses is pretty good usually.
I still need to find my r/c heaven here though!
There are sand pits and trails al around me! I need to call the # on the pit fence to ask if they'd mind if I raised bit of dust on the weekends!!!
My back yard will have a track eventually 🤩🤩🤩!

That’s such a sweet ride. Now I want one. I’m still waiting for my MT10 to be delivered.

How/where does one post all the info like that about their truck?

Thanks man! That MT10 will be a blast! Probably far exceed the Blackout!

The Blackout just looks so badass. My MT10 has been delayed @ a week. I spoke to the guy at the hobby shop in NJ and he said he’s had an overwhelming amount of orders for their upgraded MT10. Thus the long wait time. Mine will (should) be shipping Monday.

But we’ve been having a ball with my son’s Maxx and Rustler. We’re charging up some battery packs as I type this.

It's a basic brushed RC stock. It's tough. I've never broken it. It would really be alot of fun at a baseball field on the dirt since I've put the HW 60 amp ESC & 3900kv motor in it. Only on 2s. A 3s pack will fit, but the top clamp won't hold it.

I’ll be heading to the kid’s soccer game in a little while and there’s a baseball diamond right by the soccer field. I’ve always wanted to take the RC’s and run them there.

Good luck at the soccer game & scoping out the RC plan! 😉

Great time at the soccer game today. Our team got smoked BUT I found a bunch of new bash spots 😃
Thats why I say "Screw soccer!!!".
Its all about winning and losing! 🤣
Now r/c, you can run those until you break something! 😎
Did you get to run on the fields?
