Don't ya just hate that? Go to squeeze a pair of pliers or twist on something and you get that fire sensation?! I do!!Nothing wrong with blue.
I just used brute force at the expense of some early onsetting carpel tunnel.

He’s having an “end of fall” sale as we speak through the 30th!!!! Buuuuuuuut if you’re wanting the new truggy, you’ll HAVE to wait as they haven’t released it yet..You can get either buggy though…@Littlemotor has hinted of Black Friday sales here…

Might be worth the wait for a kit an extra month
You will be busy running your other trucks anyways![]()
Tekno absolutely does have the best manual in the business… That’s out of my over 35yrs in the hobby… They’re phenomenal..AWESOME!!!
2x @Littlemotor !!!
He seems to be our resident Tekno guru!
I'm glad you decided to take the plunge and go with a kit!!! Your challenges will be rewarded with a build like this.
Be sure to ACTUALLY READ the manual and go slowly.
Don't skimp on things like loktite and green slime during assembly and you WILL love your new build!
Well faaaack… sorry about that brother…I only use thread locker for metal 2 metal. I used some CA glue on my E Revo pivot balls, kept backing out of the arms.. worked, too good. Now I can't get them out!!![]()
Agreed brothaman! Hasn’t let me down in over 20yrs of 1/8 off-road!Yeah, @Littlemotor i use one like this and a little tube of liquid and they've done well for me.
This is the same brand. I think i said loktite if it matters.

Nah, forgettaboutit!! Threadlocker is threadlocker, proper prep will make or break ya. Shock and diff oils, I always grab whatever 100% silicone is cheapest. I have shocks and diffs that haven't been opened in years that still do their jobs. Maybe not to their best, but good nuff for me. Just a hobby to me. As long as it puts smiles on my face, I'm good.Lol! Sometimes I feel stupid after I make a suggestion for a product like this and then I get stomped on because I'm 20 years in the dark, product outdated!
Oil and lubricants def did this to me.
Like 30 years ago, the best shock oil I knew of was Tamiya "lightweight"
I don't want to mislead nor be left in the dark myself!
I wouldn’t feel stupid lol.. New fancy stuff comes out daily that we haven’t all heard about, and sometimes the stuff that you’ve had tremendous results with since day one is all you’ll ever need!Lol! Sometimes I feel stupid after I make a suggestion for a product like this and then I get stomped on because I'm 20 years in the dark, product outdated!

Lol! I'm not totally stuck on name branding, I like to be accurate when I recommend a product.Nah, forgettaboutit!! Threadlocker is threadlocker, proper prep will make or break ya. I'm confused...I was looking at the TLR tuned version and it’s impressive. So Losi is associated with Arrma?
The Associated MT10 is an awesome basher. Tough as they come and comes with center diff instead of slipper.I’m all about Rustler 4x4 Ult but the Typhon TLR looks nice too.
How’s that Associated Rival MT10?
Definitely heard from quie a few about the MT10 being a great truck. I scored a Hoss from my bro for $200. If not for that I probably would have an MT10.I'm confused...

I learned that TLR stood for “Team Losi Racing” and that Losi is connected to Arrma. That’s why they made the upgrades for the Typhon. Using the word “associated” was not in reference to the RC brand. Bad verbiage on my part.I'm confused...

No-you are correct.I learned that TLR stood for “Team Losi Racing” and that Losi is connected to Arrma. That’s why they made the upgrades for the Typhon. Using the word “associated” was not in reference to the RC brand. Bad verbiage on my part.
Very possible-but it’s all the same to me lol..I think there is still 2 different model lines though? Losi and TLR. TLR being the makers/designers of the 8ight buggy/truggy and I believe the 1/10 racers are still carried under the TLR banner? The Losi rtr stuff seems a lower grade, likely made in China. I'd like to believe TLR is at least Taiwanese? Do make a difference I feel. Traxxas is Taiwan, and I do feel it shows through in the parts and build categories.
Yep, Taiwan is Tekno. I may very well be off there on the TLR story, read it on the internet..Very possible-but it’s all the same to me lol..
You’d be surprised how many die hard Tekno fanboys think their stuff is “Made in the good ol’ US of A, by God!”…
Designed in the USA, made in Taiwan.
As for Losi, Team Losi, TLR, TLRrrrrma, whichever-you already know my thoughts on it lol.. The quality, and a LOT of availability went in the dumpster when the old man sold it to Horizon.. I dumped mine then (I was hardcore Losi all the way), and never looked back.![]()
Oh yeah-LOTS of top quality stuff comes from that neck of the woods.. Kyosho actually about went under just a couple years back.. Hell they haven’t made any real changes to their 1/8 *uggy line since like 2006.. They do work well however, and I’ve been a closet K-car guy for years.. Even had a Calvin pissing on Kyosho sticker on my daily driver WHILE I had my ST-RR truggy on Prototype BCE extended chassis.. that is STILL one of my all time favorite RC’s to this day..Yep, Taiwan is Tekno. I may very well be off there on the TLR story, read it on the internet..
I believe the Mugen is still Japan, wonder about Kyosho? I have a Losi Lasernut here, gifted by my awesome brother after he got tired of fixing every crash, he crashes A LoT. LOL. It has a China sticker right on the chassis. Not knocking, it does just fine as long as it doesn't take a direct frontal hit.. doesn't like those much!![]()
I was gonna say that I've always liked the looks of Kyosho and MRC Tamiya rc's, but always viewed them as more fragile than say TA or Losi stuff. I know both have a loyal following and my view is likely skewed. Was thinking I never owned one from either company, just remembering my brother had the Stinger MKII from Kyosho back in the 80's that looked completely badazz but never ran.. then, a light bulb went off. I did have a Kyosho in the late 80's, a Double Dare 4wd/4ws, dual motor MT. Then I remembered why I'd forgotten about it..Oh yeah-LOTS of top quality stuff comes from that neck of the woods.. I did have a good time with it on our above ground pool during the winter, had some foam tires from my RC10 studded up with sheet metal screws drifting the DD on ice. Bout the best time I ever had with that turd. I wanted a Clodbuster, but settled for the DD.. in hindsight, neither would have satisfied my need for speed, LOL.
