My wireless internet crapped out today in my room. I have reset thr router and all that good stuff yet it doesn't work. After i reboot my computer i have internet for maybe 15 minutes. Then it goes out for some reason. Any suggestions?

On the main computer we are having no problems with internet.

check the FAQ section for your particular router's website. Sounds like it could be the router taking a nose dive? What kind of connection do you have (cable or dsl?).

Either as Jetmech said (the router takin a dive), or the network card is diving too. It could also be that there is another network, or possibly a cordless phone on the same bandwidth. I would bet the wireless network option.

Have you tried changing channels in the router?

Try this, disconnect the modem, then the router from its power source completely for about 2-3 Min, close all computers, connect the modem first, then the router, and then open all computers. If it works I am a genius, if it fails then :opps:, lol

well stupid as it seems i had this more more than a week ago, and i found when i moved my comp that someone had unplugged some of it and plugged it all back in wrong, just makesure ur modem is connected to the in port of the router and that everything else is wired up right

also, check for any firmware updates that your AP needs and updated drivers for your wireless nic.

Ok, we need more info....

What router is it? Is it the ever popular Linksys WRT54G?

Now, are you loosing connection or is the internet just not working properly?

I do agree with changing the channel on the router, that sounds like a probably cause....especially if you just got a new 2.4 GHz cordless phone... or if your neighbor set-up a new wireless network or discovered the miracles of hacked firmware then that's also something that could cause your outages...
