If I was to put a speaker on the top of a body, would the magnet on the speaker burn up my electronics??
I have had no experience with this, but I was alway told never to put a magnet to the side of the computer because it would mess it up!!
So if it would mess up a computer, would it mess up the car??
They are both electronic. (That is unless you have a computer that runs on nitro that is;))

What is the magnet for? I'm curious :)

As for your question, depends on the speaker magnet size and how close to the ESC it is. Since ESC's use RPROMs there is a slight chance of data corruption/wipe from unshielded magnetic poles but it is minimal. You'd have to have the magnet pretty damn close to mess anything up. I'm currently using N40 neodymium disc magnets on my modified body posts for a hidden body mount setup on my drifter. These are some strong magnets (3.2lbs pull force). The distance between the ESC and body posts is far enough that there is no interference. Also, being screwed into the plastic posts changes the magnetic pole flow from the typical toroid into an almost T-shaped magnetic field since the plastic acts as a field ground.

Are we talking about an rc with a system in it? My uncle gave me a VW bus by newbrite I think at Christmas, and it has a speaker aiming out the top. You use and ipod and put it in the trunk and it blasts music while you drive it.

Ok cool. Thanks for the info. I was thinking about putting a speaker in the roof of my Summit when I get it!!

Where does the flux capacitor go, professor?:hehe:

You made my head hurt.

But doesn't the rubber stop the silicon from entering the thingamajig, turning the entire thing into a motherboard??????!!!!!!:whhooo::whhooo::whhooo:

Only on Fridays. Otherwise the drag coefficient overcomes the lack of cromulence.

hmmm.. that would be cool.....

That is what I was thinking. I was also thinking about putting my stering wheel on it with my pedals and cameras. But wouldn't it be cool to blast tunes while you drive?? Its electric so it make VERY little noise!!:hehe:;):D:first_place:

dude, you gotta LMK what that looks like, my missus has a red and white one. DEFINATELY worthy of an electronics and chassis upgrade !!

but where can i get low pewered speakers that are loud?

I've seen a set of Portable MP3 speakers at walgreens that is powered by 2 AA batteries for like $6.

If low powered speakers were loud, people wouldn't spend big bucks on high powered equip. Get a red wagon and put a car system and a battery in it and drag 'er around in low! Maybe tape an i phone to it. Or just listen to your i pod while you rip.

What do the lights on the summit run on??
Could you disconect the lights and conect the speakers instead??

all and all, this is a cool idea.. but why ruin a mp3 player bashing? this is why they developed the AD2P profile (stereo headset) for bluetooth.. lol.

you could rip apart one of those silly little speaker setups from an i(junk) aka ipod.. most of them are powered from the ipod.. or 2 AAs...

but whats this about a flux capcitor?? where the hell are you going to get 1.21 gigawatts??

lmao!! your going to need quite a few gerbils.. the great doc was using lightning!! and then a Mr. Fusion!! lol
