Can a buggy take a .18 engine and a .21-16 conversion kit fot a t-maxx can't take a .18 right ??? (i have a weiron project in mind)

I'm not sure but if you have the engine try it! Although my first thought would be no because the crankshaft wont be long enough and the block would be too small.

You might have to make some custom engien mounts for the buggy, but besides that I wouldn't see a problem.

I may get a XRAY XB8 buggy (decieding between that and a new onroad) and i can get a .26 t-maxx convesion kit really cheap @ my LHS so i was think i could put the brand new 18 into the buggy and the .26 in my truvk. if the conversion kit wasn't so cheap right kno i wouldnt be thinkin' bout do this.......

I think it would work, but it might be tough to get the .18 in the buggy because the engine mounts won't be the same. you might have to modify them somehow, but then again maybe not. Go to your lhs with you.18 and ask if they have a .21 engine mount. Engine mounts aren't all the same, but you'll get a good idea if your .18 will fit in the mount.

ight , i think i goin 2 have 2 use adjustable engine mounts i heard about them but never had 2 use them before......

You can do both. The .18 will work in the buggy as long as you get the right mount. You may need to drill some extra engine mount holes in the chassis plate for the buggy, but from there it is as easy as strapping in a regular .21 engine.

ight i hope u all are right casue when i get my hands on some $$$ (2 or 3 weeks) I'm goin 2 try it.

If nothing else, you will have a good buggy and can buy a 21 for the maxx. hobbypeople.net is selling the OS 21 RG for $99 right now. I know I've badmouthed this engine before, but c'mon, it's $99!

lol if i get a 21 i will go w/ the NEW OS VZ-B V-Spec-T reatial is 300$$$ but i can get mine for atleast 225$$$ but i can just pull thatr money right out me a**

Cost is a big concern 2 me but a engine never cost 2 much.
