was llooking into os .15 or .18 cvrx

15 is 130$
18 is 160$

for the extra 30$ should i go for the 18 or what other mnotors would u recomend that are same price or cheaper and better

i have the sirio .18

300 is steep but its well worth it

u can't go wrong either way with a OS engine, very reliable, and easy to tune. i have a wasp .18 and that has good power, dont know how it would compare to the OS .18. buy it and find out.

later

well I'm not paying 300 for a motor lol

160 is alot to me id like to pay like 100 tops lol but know it wont happen

was looking at the picco .21 p2 direct drop in but not gonna pay 200$

was considering the os cazz I'm told that they are very good

if your not going with the sirio go with the wasp. I have read it is really nice and reliable. Read a lot cause you can only buy one right now!!!!!!!!!!!

I just installed the wasp 18 in my maxx. Bought it from tower last week for $85. It's a two wheeler only, so it pulls it around pretty good. I have only put about 20 tanks of fuel through it, so I'm not sure how long it will last of if it's fully broken in yet.

Don't get the OS 15 cv-r, it doesn't have enough power. That's what I just replaced. The OS 18 doesn't put out much more hp than the 15, so I don't know as if I'd reccommend it either.

The jury is still out on the wasp 18. It starts pretty easy, no wheelies yet. It's powerband seems to be in the mid-high range of the RPMS, so I don't know if it will every pull a wheelie without leaning the crap out of it. But once it gets moving, it really screams.

The epic 18 is supposed to be good, well at least after you seal the backplate and carb with silicone. It's in the higher end of your pricerange, but everything I've read about it has been good. I think it puts out around 1.8hp if I'm not mistaken.

Also, the fantom 18 is supposed to be a screamer, but it runs really hot from what I've read. (>260 at good running tune).

Small point of order here...if this is a Nitro version of the T-Maxx, you are looking for an ENGINE. If this is an E-Maxx, then you are looking for a MOTOR. ENGINE = nitro, MOTOR = electric.

As for the possibilities, they are only limited by you wallet. If you want monster performance, you made need to dig deep into that wallet. The Sirio .18 is a great engine from what I have heard, but the real performance is had when you step your Monster Truck up to the .21 or larger class.

I hold the TRAXXAS forum lower than whale poop, and OQ/HW even further beneath that.

I would go with...

I would go with an 18.MY uncle bought one (Forget the company name, sorry!) And put it on his Maxx.He was so pleased with it that he bought two more.He put on the others on his other Maxx and one on my old Stampede. Then one of his friends bought a Maxx with a .21 and he raced it and even though the .21 had more power the .18 beat it every time. The .18 also has pretty good power.I wouldn't go with a 15.I loved the .18 on my Stampede even though I couldn't steer much because the thign would be up on its two back tires for the size of a whole city block.
