you should take out your servos and reciever before you spray it with water. those arent factory waterproofs

and that looks like a GREAT revo you got there. it definetly looks bash worthy and with that engine and single servo steering you got. you could even race that if you wanted too. hope that guy gets back to you and gets it up and going. but even if you wanted to do it yourself. the guys here know ALOT and surely could help you solve whatever problem it is your having.

looks like a keeper to me

hey matty i didnt put any water on the inside.. all the water you see i was using was to wash the tyres n wheels as they were full of mud. i used hpi-nitro car cleaner for the inside.

Hey guys Just editing to tell you the out come of the Revo, well the guy came over like he said he would (he was in my area for work again)... he tried to get it going but wouldn't,so he took the engine apart and pulled the harness wires off but he snapped the end of one of them while doing this rite there infront of me..then he has the balls to say thats why it wasn't workin cuz the harness wire was broke!.. at that time i just couldnt hold my tongue anymore he was moaning the whole time he was here..i told him i just saw him do it but he was still blaming us..anyway he fiddles around some more with the engine..then tells me he dont know whats up with it and that he'll go to a cash point and refund my money...

when he returns he comes back with the money i spent on the truck but minus the shipping! which was £15 (30 bux!) he said that he shouldnt have to give that back to me since he came to my house twice.. i told him 1st he offered to deliver it and 2nd he snapped the cord rite infront of me... then he proceeded to walk to his car and told me to forget it then because thats all the money he has.. which is bull cuz he does have all the money since i paid it into his paypal account...so i just took the money...and he took all his stuff. anyway i got skanked out of £15 plus the money i spent on the harness.. i don't know now if i will get another truck off ebay again.

not happy at all.........

You need to contact him again and tell him to refund ALL your money or you will file a complaint through Ebay. That should get his attention.

he knows where i live and he didnt seem mentally stable so maybe i should leave it :/

It sucks that there's gotta be some idiots like that. I don't think eBay can help you with the shipping cost although that's crazy to charge that much to deliver it to you while "in the area". Ebay is a good place to buy, but you have to really know about what you're buying, and check the seller carefully.

It's been mentioned before, but you really should consider buying new. The up front cost is a bit more, but you'll get more enjoyment and less headaches with it. And I know you are worried about the break-in procedure, but it's really not that bad. There's plenty of us here that would be glad to help talk you through the process.

That's just a shame. So many people can ruin such a great hobby for somebody. Don't get too down GRL. We'll get you runnin..

Sorry to hear that. Sucks there is people like that. Like people have said previously and talked me into doing, Buying new.... I couldn't be happier with the decision...

grrl, save yourself the heartache and buy new! then its YOURS, you'll know all there is to know about it etc.

Just buy a new Revo, the 3.3 is no slouch. The pros race and win with the 3.3.

Not to send you in a different direction here, but have you given any thought into buying either a GT2 or a Jato? Both of these are extremely quick right of the box, durable, good bashers and excelent if you want to get into any kind of stadium racing. I seen your concerned about cost, and though i'm not sure where you are, i've seen used GT2'sgo for about $150 in my area and Jato's average about $200. New a GT2 here will run about $250 and a Jato is about $325. Just a consideration.

Here's a short vid of both the Jato and GT racing for comparison.

if i find better vids i'll post for comparison.

@skin76 yeh that is why i want a savage now... i don't wanna get one brand new because the're just too much money and i don't wanna get one off ebay.. so i'm stuck..

Just buy a new Revo, the 3.3 is no slouch. The pros race and win with the 3.3.

i could have had a T-maxx 3.3 but i heard the engines are very hard to tune.. thats why i went for the picco engine.. as i have never tuned an engine before...

I have to say I feel bad for ya. That is why I have never really buy anything from ebay. The time, money and headaches you might encounter from ebay seems almost worth the money to buy it new, because that way you are 99% sure that is gonna work for ya. I hope everything works out for ya...I agree with Rolex these guys will def get you running though :)
