you should take out your servos and reciever before you spray it with water. those arent factory waterproofs
and that looks like a GREAT revo you got there. it definetly looks bash worthy and with that engine and single servo steering you got. you could even race that if you wanted too. hope that guy gets back to you and gets it up and going. but even if you wanted to do it yourself. the guys here know ALOT and surely could help you solve whatever problem it is your having.
looks like a keeper to me
Not to send you in a different direction here, but have you given any thought into buying either a GT2 or a Jato? Both of these are extremely quick right of the box, durable, good bashers and excelent if you want to get into any kind of stadium racing. I seen your concerned about cost, and though i'm not sure where you are, i've seen used GT2'sgo for about $150 in my area and Jato's average about $200. New a GT2 here will run about $250 and a Jato is about $325. Just a consideration.
Here's a short vid of both the Jato and GT racing for comparison.

if i find better vids i'll post for comparison.
Just buy a new Revo, the 3.3 is no slouch. The pros race and win with the 3.3.
